Movies you thought were going to be funny, but were not.

im going to have to reverse that with Macgruber. I thought that movie looked so fucking bad. The preview made it look like the least funny movie ever but it was actually pretty funny. I was pleasantly suprised

this thread is weird so far. i didn't mind accepted, i don't know who would have thought killers is funny, i'll sort of agree with the macgruber comment because it got super funny from the sex scene on, i was pleasantly surprised with get him to the greek, it was way better than i was expecting, i'm not quite sure how someone didn't find the hangover to be at least a little hilarious, aaaaand ima have to go with be kind rewind. that movie looked like it would be so good and it SUCKED

When they started advertising it, I was like, "Fuck yes another Borat!!!" Then, it came out and I saw a penis that talked.
 
Considering how awesome Curb Your Enthusiasm is, I for sure thought Whatever Works with Larry David was going to be very funny. Netflix suggested close to 4 stars for me so I can lose, right? WRONG. This was easily the most god awful waste of a movie from 2009. Do not watch.
 
I thought Accepted was HILARIOUS.. The 'wiener' scene was lame. I agree. But the rest of the movie had me rollin'.

As far as movies that I thought were gonna be funny that sucked.. I'm gonna go with ALL the Adam Sandler drama films.

Funny People - I figured with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen together you couldn't go wrong.. Movie was terrible.

Spanglish - I don't even remember anything from the movie.. besides that it sucked.

adam sandler fell off from his glory days of billy madison, happy gilmore, and waterboy playing retarded people. maybe that grown ups movie will be good...
 
again on the flipside shes outta my league looked terrible but my gf wanted to watch it real bad so we did and it was pretty funny i was surprised
 
sad but true.

I got mixed feelings about that Grown Ups movie... part of me says with that many funny guys in a movie it's gotta be good. The other half has been let down by so many shitty adam sandler films.. makes me wonder
 
if that movie isnt good, then he should just retire. because if you are gunna have that many funny people in that movie and its not funy, something is wrong
 
im never going to watch parody movies every again. the 41 year old virgin who knocked up sarah Marshall and felt superbad about it was the worst thing i have ever seen. iam embarrassed that even rented it. smh
