Movies that got you into skiing

I remember one year my mom got me MSP's push way back and it totally changed my perspective on skiing. I'm just wondering what ski movie got you hyped on freeskiing

Everyday Is A Saturday got me to say 'yeah Im gonna get way better this season', but before that ski movies werent really an influence. I still watch that like 4-5 times every fall.....

Ski Movie 1 & 2

"State of Mind" and then "Degenerates" from Poor Boyz was what did it for me (that and watching J-Mo grab mute in the Olympics). Some of the Degenerates segments are online now:

Voleurz movies got me to have a more "fun" mindset on the way i ski. especially in comps those movies taught me to be more laid back during comps

the first movie my pops ever showed me was blizzard of ahhh's (all you kiddies who don't know, please look it up, know your roots!), but the first two movies i bought myself were msp's focused and an old tgr vhs that came out the same year, i'd still watch em if vcr's still existed :(

It's not a movie, but watching Jon Olsson take gold at X games with the kangaroo flip was probably the most infuential thing for me. Then I watched Teddybear Crisis and my fate was sealed!

Warren Miller storm was the first movie that I watched, even though I was already into skiing.

It definitely made me more into skiing.

Yearbook was the first ski movie I ever saw, but the first movie that really got me into skiing was Eye Trip. I'd skied park for a year and a half before that movie, but I never really got into the community until after seeing what could be done on skis.

its so dope how much influence this movie had around pa/central pa skiiers, seriously watching these dudes all shred incubator back in the day was what got me to switch to skiing in the first place. after this season/movie all me and my homies wanted to do was shred roundtop

WAR from PBP was the first movie that i really watched and wanted to start shredding harder, Sammy C's seg from that was ridiculous

I cant remember my first skiing movie, but I do remember what got me into freeskiing. I was looking up "cool ski brands" trying to figure out how to be a cool skier about 5 years ago when i stumbled upon Line Skis. It was back when they had that sick slideshow panel of videos, and pictures and stuff and the first video that came up was the very first Traveling Circus, 1.1 Will and Andy go to Hood. I think it was a couple days after it came out when i watched it and it was eye opening to see all the sick stuff you could do on skis. I would wait so anxiously for the next episodes to come out and i would always watch every episode back to back before i watched the new episode. I always still like to watch the very first one.

i was introduced to the beautiful world of newschoolers through JOSS 2009. and then found it again after JOSS 2010 and got on my ns grind.

Refresh and TC were the first skiing movie/edits I'd seen that weren't from searching on youtube and they blew my mind.

this, my first ski movie, followed by shanghai six soon after, i watched those endlessly all fall

First movie that I watched over and over again was the VAST Awards DVD from 2006 or 2007. Perfect mixture of different styles of skiing, filming and utter bizarreness (that weird rabbit/key scene?).

Got it free in my SBC skier magazine, I wish they still did that.

Warren Miller. I was always into park since I was like 7 but I had no idea all of this existed. Broke my arm hitting a jump 2 seasons ago and basically spent a month and a half on the couch it was fucked up so bad. That's when I saw a trailer for Revolver. Bought that shit, it blew my mind, and then I found Newschoolers. And here I am today, knee high on a grasshopper.

what turned me from being a simple carving kid to a kid that wanted to start hucking shit was tgrs anomaly, poor boys war and teddy bear crisis

the movie that stands out in my mind as the movie that got me most stoked on skiing was Pop yer Bottlez. PBPs movie from 05 or 04 i believe. seeing shaun and callum pettit in it was major for me, seeing as they are only a couple years older than me and they were like 12 when that shit came out haha
