Windows Movie Maker might be a little hard to get used to, its pretty complicated and there's so many options it gets kinda overwhelming

Ok! I have OS Yosemite for my macbook

Yeah a little bit. Even from the title alone you can tell its a movie maker. So a few. Chris nolan probably uses it for his movies

I've seen a couple good edits come out of Pinnacle. Final cut is usually the best tho

dude i have FCP 10 and i found a free download link from google in 10 minutes. Try YouTube first though, that usually haas good links

Premiere Pro is one of the best options. It is pretty easy to pick up, very customisable work space. You can move everything around so its comfortable for your style and its got flawless integration with After Effects so if you want do motion graphic/composting work you can just bring it straight in.
