Mounting symmetrical pow skis

I've got a pair of kitten factory layzrblaydz waiting to be mounted, and was wondering where I should mount them. the recommended mount is at center, but I wanted to get some other opinions from people who have also skied symmetrical pow skis before I drill into them.

also, out of curiosity, do any of you have any experience with the layzrblaydz in pow?

Why would you mount a symmetrical ski anywhere but center? Thats what its designed to ride at. Anywhere else would be compromising to the ski.

On a directional ski you have a little more flexibility

yeah, I totally get what you're saying. I was planning on mounting it center but I wanted to make sure. thanks man

Center mount is obviously ideal. If you go 1 or 2 cm back, you won't have any issues though.

It's the recommended mount point for a reason, the ski will perform best when mounted there.

My buddy has layzrs and mounted them -1 for extra float and what not.
