MOUNTING: Refill & Thread

My summer skis got messed up. The two back bolts in the back bindings got ripped out... luckily I found the bolts.

The problem is I tried to just screw them back in, but they obviously got stripped...

Am I able to refill the holes and then drill again to screw my bolts back in? or is my ski a lost cause?

+k for responses

You'll probably need to remount in a different spot. If the holes aren't too jacked, a shop could heli-coil them and keep em in the same spot

These skis have been mounted 3 times... with 2 different bindings in 2 different positions there arent any spots left

If you want the bindings remounted properly then definitely get helicoils, I did that with my skis and they work dope. If they're just shitty skis to fuck around on and you don't care if you rip the bindings out again then you could try to refill and rethread the holes, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want them to work well

For the amount of tools you need, (coils come in bags of fifty, special drill bit, special tap, special driver) it's cheaper to pay for a remount.

how long after the last mount did they rip out? You may be able to get it done for free if you complain(nicely)

Op, if theyre just rock skis and don't care about them or something the bindings, use super glue and put it in the holes then screw back in super gently and let dry.

I did this to my my Scott's and axial twos which are both trash and the skis had a mush core from water getting in, and it works and hasn't pulled out.

But if you care about your skis or bindings whatso ever. Yea don't do that. If not, do it

It was like a month ago... but the skis were used 4 times on the snow and twice on a backyard setup....

So it happened pretty quick I'll give them a call

Yea I'll do this if the shop wont fix mine for free because I truly don't care abut these but want to use them still
