we get this question a lot. Usually we recommend people who want their skis to ski good in the park but also be able to cruise around the mountain to mount behind center, but usually not all the way back to recommended.

Usually somewhere right in the middle of both is great. Right around 2cm back from true center is common to keep your ski feeling close to center but also give you the best use of effective edge

I second Powderhuffer on this one. Going 2 -2.5 cm back has always been my preferred range. That way you will utilize the sidecut of the ski going forwards and switch.

Mount true center. Makes the rail game a bit easier for balancing. I have never had any problem demolishing groomers or slaying cut-up snow while on a center mount ski. Ultimately I don't think it will make much difference. Center or 2cm back and both will be glorious because you're skiing.
