Mounting AR6's/Will These Bindings Work?

hey newschoolers, I've got some ar6's being shipped in and I had a few questions on getting them

mounted. where should I mount them at? center? or -2.5 cm? it seems like it goes back and forth when I search for which is best. I'd like to be able to ski switch comfortably and what not.

I got a pair of binding for free from a friend, they are rossignol axial 140s. right now they are on a pair of old skis but I'll be using them. will these be fine for skiing park? also they have a base plate on them right now, but is it alright to use them without the plate? I don't see many park skiers using base plate with their bindings. lastly, should I take them off myself to get them mounted or should I just bring in the old skis with the bindings still attached and just tell them that I don't want the base plate put on the new skis?

thanks guys!

1 depends on how much park you plan on riding. Is this ski only for park or are you going to ride all mountain with it as well.2 those bindings are fine for park. I would take the base plate off because but make sure you have the right length screws to mount flat.

3 just bring the old skis in with you if you have any doubt on how to take the bindings off. Yeah just tell them not to mount them with the base plate.

1. I'd probably be mainly riding park on them (since I have a pair of k2 all mountains still), but it'd be nice to take them all mountain too so I don't have to have to lug around two pairs of skis everywhere I go.

2&3. alright cool thank you! sounds perfect.

I had 2 pairs of the same ski (at different times) one mounted dead center and one mounted at -3. They, like the ARs, were slightly directional, so it mad sense. Personally, I enjoyed the center mounting a lot more; I felt more confident on rails and boxes, while the difference it made skiing all-mtn wasn't overly noticeable. Really, though it comes down to preference. The one word of advice that I'd give is to either have them mounted center not -2.5, NOT -1 or 1.5. I feel like it compromises too much from either side of the spectrum and I wound not recommend it.

So really, ignore all of that. It just comes down to preference.

if it doesn't make too much of a difference on all mountain then I'll mount them center. I might as well, since I'll be using them for boxes and rails. did the ones mounted -3 just not give you the same stability while jibbing?

does having them center mounted make a big difference on jumps, though?
