Mounting anthems, does it matter witch side is in front?

wtf?

o well, so my question is, does it matter wich side i use for the nose and tail. they're supposed to be fully simetrical. the only diffrence i find in both ends is that in one end the edges merge. should tat go in front (nose) or in the back?

OR does it not really matter, thats the only diffrence i can find between the nose and tail.

They also have equal tip/tail height too..

You could mount them both backwards and they should ski exactly the same as if you mounted them forwards.

your all right about the symmetrical part. but has anyone thought about how the flex patterns will change. there is suppose to be a special butter pivot zone between the front binding piece and tip of the nose. most skis tend to be softer in the noses and stiffer in the tails. thats just my theory. i'd mount them the reg way i were you.

dude, the whole question here is witch is the regular way?

and they're supposed to have butterzones in the back as well.

If you watched the LINE video, Jason said they designed the ski from the waist to the tip and then just flipped it, so the flex and shape are exactly the same...mount 'em both forward, both backwards, one each direction...it matters not.

but if you put the seem in the front then you wont have to worry about it pulling out if you drag your skis when you hike or if you do lots of fat manuals

ok so heres the thing, and i think theres another thread on this too, line says the ski is symmetricall and blah blah blah, well, when i mounted my anthems, i measured the recommended mark, AND checked it by flipping one ski over and comparing the two, and my recommended mark is a little back of center, like a half centimeter. now, i know why they do this, its because on a center mount ski this compensates for forward lean when riding switch and regular, but some people say their mark is dead center, not set back a little. either way, if you are going to mount one the opposite way (which will look pretty gay too, especially with the anthems) make sure you measure yourself and get both bindings dead center.

they would ski the same eitehr way, but usually on teh end thats supposed to be the tail, tehre is a little spot where the ends of teh edges come together. I think if you had thatt in front and rammed into something, the edges would ahve a better chance of blowing apart. I've never actually heard of this happening, but I'm pretty sure it would be more likely to come apart than the end where the edge goes all the way around.

That's why you NEVER go by the marks. I can almost guarentee that LINE meant to make the mark in the dead center, but since making that mark, whether it's with a machine or on the topsheet graphics is hard to get perfect, it's important to measure yourself.

anthems are sick, i took em out on saturday and they ripped. bump like champs and handle real well at speed. havnt tried em out in their natural environment though, park wasnt set up. I think they are 100% symmetrical b/c when i flip on aroundthe heel piece matches with the toe piece of th eother ski

it can happen.....sometimes if you deck in the pipe, also tree skiing; if you are trying to do some rail tricks (ie beowulfs) and even landing forward puts alot stress on teh nsoe of your skis.

Haha, yeah I know, only joking....but the seam shouldn't make that big of a difference being in front or back, and LINE has the best warranty in the business, just in case.

if it was me i would mount them forward there alot less likly to have the edge blow out in the front ive seen it happen with invaders
