Mounting a third time?

I'm picking up some syntaxs that were ridden with a 25.5 boot twice dead center, mines a 26.5 and I want to mount dead center again cause of park obviously. Is this safe? I'd think that an entire boot size could make a big difference and would work, half a boot size would be sketchy I'd think.

Save yourself some hassle and just reuse the same holes and ride them 5mm back of center.

i dont understand how would i mount in the same holes with a different size boot and different bindings?

Get the same bindings that were previously used. Sounds like there's two different bindings you could use. And guess what? Bindings can adjust in size.

well yeah i know that, so your saying if the holes are still in good condish remount them there? but if theyre not should I remount?

just plug the old holes and drill new ones...they'll be about 1/2 cm apart and thats plenty of room...tell the shop to helicoil them if you really want to make sure, but yea definitely not a problem

What if a pair has been at -6, -3 and now want them at dead center, can it affect the durability of the ski?

it depends what kind of bindings you're using. the px series can adjust a couple of sizes, so if the old bindings were those, than you should be fine with just adjusting them.

but for example the FKS, it only adjusts like 8mm so you would have to remount them

yes I have PX12 but I don't get your point. How could I move the bindings 3cm from where they are now just by adjusting them?

No, sell em to somebody and buy new skis. after the second mount the ski is considered unsafe to ride because your core is so shot Just save the hassle of bindings ripping out while riding a groomer and buy new ones.

maybe thats the rule but personally i wouldnt push a ski to that point. Sure they might be durable enough to last you a while, or good to beat around on urban but you are never going to have the life that the ski used to have. Plus you can find good skis cheap, I bought the 2009 tnk for 300 brand new a few weeks ago.

Yeaa but i was planning to do the season with them and keep them for urban and water ramps next year. In the moment I don't really have a lot of money.. Probably gonna ask my shop.
