Mounting 07 Foils

So I just got some new 06/07 Salomon foils with 914 bindings and I am not sure where to mount them.

I am 130 pounds, 5'5", and I live in the praries so I will ski mostly park and groomers, but i get out to BC about 4 times a year. When i am in the mountains i mostly shred powder and backcountry sort of stuff.

So, Where should i mount the bindings in order to get the max performance in all areas?

2cm back from center maybe? i dunno if thatll make much of a difference and since it sounds like your not skiing back country or powder that much maybe just get em center

If you're going to be skiing pow dont mount em further than +6...but it really depends on how long the skis are for you.

you really should measure them first. I have foils from last year, and if i remember correctly, true center is only +4.5 or +5 from recomended mount. so, um, before you mount just make sure you dont mount them so there is more tail then tip

I didnt realize true was so close to recommended on these skis! I have '05 1080's (like thrusters) and recommended is soooo far back.

That's wild if true is only 4.5 from recommended! I mean fujatives are park skis...and even if you mount ALL the way forward on the matte you're still 4cm's from true.

first make sure the recommended points match and are the same, then put the skis opposite of each other and using hte recomended points find true center of the ski, mark it, then decided anywhere between the recomended and true center to mount them. i would probably suggest +2 or +3. +4 would probably make it abolutly suck for anything other than park

check out my thread if you wanna see what mine look like at reccomended, i think its too far back and i will probably remount them later on when there not as new.
