Mountain Food Prices

Seriously they over price it so much because you have no where else to go. I spent $25 at Killington the other day on a hot dog, soda, cookie, and a Biggie Iggie.

Thoughts?

I make a big pot of chilli every other week and then heat it up in the microwave in the chalet.

Your name is Hamburgaler and you PAID $25 for a HOTDOG?

Yeah actually, how is he even alive? I thought he got stabbed to death by Ronald McDonald.

its great when people bitch about resort food prices without even considering the concept of bringing a lunch from home.

I take a break from NS and this cheap shrimp steals my name? And fucking spells it wrong? You are all that I hate in this world, OP. Change your name or you will get a Cease & Desist from the mods. I hope.

No one's fault but your own if you don't plan ahead or are too lazy to brown bag it. Also, why in the hell are you buying a soda while you're skiing? Drink water, it's free and it actually hydrates you.

I don't understand why people complain about the food prices when they actually buy the food. What I like to do is just buy a Subway sandwich and a pop and it's roughly 6 bucks.

I was at Killington Tuesday and paid $12 for a grilled cheese with soup at the new lodge such bullshit even though it was delicious

You will not like Switzerland OP.

At least they have funny money that makes you forget you are spending so much.

Wait... What? Food at resorts is expensive? I should rethink this skiing thing and just go hang out at the circle K near my house.

My home mountain has ridiculous prices because it costs them so much to make all of the snow. Food is bad enough... but a day pass is $75 for 700' vert.

I just go without eating, you will crash, but that's when clif bars and energy syrups come in to play. you'll feel like new. there's less people on the hill at lunchtime too.

It's half off cafeteria food for all employees at my hill so everytime I go to pay for food I just ask for the employee discount even though I don't work there , and if they ask for my employee pass as proof I say I just started and haven't gotten it yet, but I offer to tell em the name of "my supervisor" (cause I actually know the guy who's head of ski school). Works every time.

Not bitching and moaning in line for my hamburglar ...

before going to the mountain eat a good breakfast from D&D, then drink your favorite beverage from 7/11, then get your favorite snacks from 7/11, bring to mountain, ski all day, finally buy a chocolate waffle from the waffle shack and go home. Total spent $20 and your good all day.

This is what i do. Good Luck
