Mountain Creek Skiers

Anybody down to get some stills this Saturday? The jumps on Jumping jack are on point and there are a bunch of rails that are absolutely tits right now. Had a few ideas for some of the rails including the double rainbow below the red tail line- that has potential.

i must say, mountain creek has been surprisingly good this year. maybe its because ive been skiing on weekdays when theres only a small crowd around, but theyve also been good with changing up the features frequently.

by the way... if anyone has ever come across a pair of lonely looking surface double time skis (yellow) in size 160 with grey look bindings, ive been looking for em for the past week or so :(

Whoever backflipped that one jump at the bottom and nearly caught a tip and died, but saved it and rode it out, I was the guy on the lip watching. That was sick.

It was soooooo slow today, but so warm and slushy.

So they're open for gaper day... Said they're gonna have features but it's only supposed to be vernon so it's probably gonna be something dumb. Any word on what's going down?

Opening for the last day on wednesday from 10am to 6pm

Went 30+ times last year. 0 this year. Fuck the full time game. Plus, it was too cold this year. I did get 4 solid POW days up north

Creek looked on point this year. shame on the complainers out there!

my only complaint is some of the landings on the rails get rudded out really fast. if they had crews going around fixing stuff more it would help that so much.

what? i remember seeing a 200 dollar pass available for college students for the upcoming season!

took a couple runs with a group of skiers that was spontaneously formed last night, which was pretty cool. and then i realized, i dont know any of the skiers at creek anymore. identify yourselves people!

Skied Creek last night. I don't care about features anymore but they had a bunch set up. The snow was hard packed granular so we were able to get some speed. However, obviously hardly any room for turns which is expected so we just bomb every run at south. Jersey people are still rude punks but that's also expected.

Anyone have an update on the setup? Looks like they have a couple nice jumps going, just want to see if anyone has been lately.

Theres a nasty jump on bear at the bottom by the arena but nothing else on bear. They put in 2 jumps on red tail, apparently they did a rebuild on canyon, theres a dfd and 2 kickers in the gully and u know a bunch of misc. bs

Anybody know when Creek is thinking about shutting it down this year? I've been up probably averaging twice a week this year and a few weeks ago heard that they were saying early April... hard to imagine that now. Either way, this is my likely my last season with a season pass at creek for some time, so if any homies wanna shred hit me up!

I heard it was this saturday, aka tomorrow but I'm not sure if that's official. Funny thing is I'm flying out to colorado tomorrow morning.

Just got a pass for the season...too good of a price not to. I'm always going alone so be nice to chill with other skiers. I mostly go on the weekends cuz I teach during the day. But I'll make it a point to go on days off.

There is a new owner (surprise). They want to bring back more park than there has been. If you follow their instagram they have been dropping lots of hints since way back before fall.

I talked to a Burton rep at work yesterday and he said they're under new ownership because of bankruptcy. Glad to hear this will mean a better park, we were both afraid that the new owner might not care to maintain a good park. He also told me that most of the staff is new as well so hopefully they're still chill about all the weed and shit in the lift lines hahaha

The good news about the new owners is that they are working with Snow Operating, who run Whistler, Aspen and Killington. And so far they seem to be doing good things with the park

There is always new ownership cuz of bankruptcy. It's always been that way. There is bad blood that dates back to when the original owners owned the property originally. This is the 2nd time the same owners as killington have taken creek. Different companies though. I always look at change as an opportunity for better things to come. Killington has its act together so I hope they can help Creek out. A lot of the same people are still in the offices maybe they have better hiring skills to higher and train better people who are really running the lifts and monitoring the slopes. Last year was a shit show. The owners last year saw terrain parks as a liability so they really limited the features. We can only hope.
