Mountain Creek NJ ????

Mountain creek is overall shit. Last I was there it was run by high teenagers and filled with chinese tourists from NYC, though some of them may now be sapped up by that indoor ski place. They tired to make creek an all inclusive spa/resort/shopping center but failed. The runs are short, and lift lines are long. All the snow will be manmade but that's expected. Apparently they got new snow guns so maybe more of it will be opened. You'll probably have a good amount of park features, if you're good at small rails then it should be fine. They're always in weird spots though. Also by nightfall, there's ultra snowboarder bombholes at every rails landing from everyone 50-50ing (aka riding on) everything in sight.

Also it's going to pour and be 60 degrees tomorrow so they're prob going to be closed or get destroyed.

That said, you'll get to ski. So long as your not expecting Killington or something, it's what NJ has to offer and it's better than nothing.

I drove from princeton up to mountain creek with a friend in college. For east coast its not that bad. Park was kind of shitty and inconsistent. I cant believe danny kass got as good as he is just from riding that shithole.

Haven’t been there this year but usually go a lot. Really depends on how much snow they have and sometimes it can be decent. Poconos have almost no snow though so I would assume they don’t have a ton open and it’s mostly gonna be boxes/rails and few jumps.

They have some stuff but as I'm sure you know it's super warm right now.

Also it's just annoying to ski park there because there's an infinite train of snowboarders who just ride on and off all the features and make massive cutouts in the landings. Can't say how many times I've done like 90% of a spin off a rail only to land not perfectly in this snowboard width cutout and get bucked. And god forbid you fall on anything, especially a jump, because you will get run over.

OK, so I went to Mountain Creek today, and I didn't ski, but I walked up the mountain and surveyed the park.

If you like rails, then it's in really good shape. You can ride rails basically from top to bottom. Good flow, nonstop.

They have three jumps. One is small and two are medium-ish. They aren't the best jumps, and they aren't the worst. The small jump could use a more kick and a longer landing. The medium-sized jumps could use some more kick on the take-off; otherwise, their landings are nice.

They are hurting for snow, but you can tell that they've made a lot so far this year: the trails that they do have open are well-covered.

Man, they need some real snow just to make it feel like winter.
