I'm not a supporter of the idea of mountain biking content on newschoolers. Simply put, we're a pure skiing website in terms of content. Now, I voiced that sentiment in the comments section of the mountain biking article, and was very content to leave it at that.

A respectable post where I corrected the author to his benefit, and said my piece as well. But wait, that's where things turned fun! I receive a message from the author of the biking article, and hilarity ensued.

for the correction on the crankworx date. I would have missed it
otherwise! NOT, and anyways, you probably check this site a few times a
day when theirs only like one update a week in summer, Its not the end
of the world to see more updates covering some other cool sports.
First of all, he and his shitty attitude alike would have missed the Whistler edition of crankworx if he planned on attending in August, so why the sarcasm? In regards to the second part of his message- does he have a strong Jehova's witness background, perhaps? Is he used to matter-of-factly forcing his opinion on other people via an unwanted PM?

frequent, and i'm not going to change my mind. and don't flatter

So there you have it, our message history in full. This 'correspondent' to whom the boys of Newschoolers graciously gave the necessary credentials is an absolute amateur. Sure, his pictures are pretty, but this kid is clearly a jackass, and it isn't skiing he's covering.
Now that this website has gone corporate, shouldn't there be some sort of standard these people have to meet, or do you hand out credentials to anyone with a keyboard and a camera, for any sport they choose to cover? Poor show, NS.
