I've riden time, xpedo, and shimano.... i personally didnt like the times because im like 150 and found them difficult to get out of.... the shimano's just collected a lot of mud making it more difficult to get in and out of... and the xpedo's were actually the cheapest and my favorite so far.... anyone ride crank brothers or anything else that they recommend?

i personally dont ride them but the crank bros 50/50 pedals look super sick. i have a stock pair that came on my gt chucker and theyre fine.

Yeah cliipless.... i wanna try the new ones from look called the quartz the look sick but i dont know how well they work... anyone try them?

I ride CB's Eggbeaters and love them. Sucks that you have no tension ajust the first couple of times, but its a smooth release. Another downside I might want to warn you about though is that you don't actually hear the "clip" sound when you're locked in, wich makes it kinda hard to know if you're totally in or not sometimes. Good buy though

I dont use clipless anymore cuz they wouldnt unclip once and I hit my knee on a stump and had to get stiches

my friend rides crank bros. 50/50, he says they're the best. I ride Kona Jackshits, and I hear that the Kona Wah-Wahs are sick too.

Hope that works out for you. I always had a lot of problems with my Shimanos filling with mud and becoming utterly useless, so I only use Crank Bros for clipless now. They have more float than I'd like, but I can also *gasp* clip in when the trail is more than slightly damp. But hey, maybe Shimano has resolved that problem sometime in the last two years.
