Mount Snow hiking?

Do they set up rails for hiking or do the locals just set shit up themselves? My ignorance shines as you can tell.

its worth it for people who live near mt snow.

and to answer the question, im pretty sure people just set shit up theirselves. but dont quote me on it
 
Homies just set some shit up. As long as everyone is respectful, doesn't steal rakes or shovels and picks up their trash, it's all good!

Last year we made a 60' eight kink down the middle of the pipe, it was killler. I also had this dank jersey booter out of the pipe...that set up was soo prime!
 
yeah usually people just set stuff up down the middle of the pipe where there is plenty of snow. i believe one of mount snows web cams points up the half pipe so check that out on their website.
obviously the snow melted more quickly then last year, but theres still a good amount. i went last year probably 3 weeks after they closed and had a super sick sesh on their mellow dfd, real fun.
 
meatheads filmed there yesterday on this monster jump in inferno. theres some snow but its gonna be mostly stuff people set up at this point.
 
Locals. Most of the park crew kids and locals hang around post season. Nice settup in the pipe last year. when that melted out we started setting stuff up on inferno.

I might go up this weekend. We went from end of season to first weekend in june last year
 
It does. You can see yourself hitting stuff and setting it up on the webcam. Sucks that the bottom of the pipe already started to go. But The middle has some solid coverage
 
do you think stuff will be setup in like 2 weeks? i live 3 hours away but i missed spring skiing due to mono. fuck.

worth the drive?

this is what some peeps had set up when we went maybe 3 weeks after they closed.
i know they closed a week later last year and this edit was uploaded may 6th so yeah 3 weeks. and like i said they obviously have less snow right now then thy did last year but im sure some people will be setting stuff up

me an some janky muthers went up last year and set up rails. The pipe was all melted out but there was still plenty up where the booters were on inferno. We made a 4 jib line. Pain in the ass to drag the rails up there but i you have a crew its definitely worth it. I recomend just getting a bunch of those little 8ish foot flat bars and putting them together as kinks - there a lot lighter. Hopefully will be up there soon!
 
me and 2 friends are heading up this morning were probably going to have some gopro footy to show you all. ill keep you guys posted.
 
so the session went off today at mt.snow, edit will drop shortly. We set up a super mellow dfd rail, dfd box, and there was an epic urban down rail and the nike 6.0 box as a flat. kids from 860 will be going up later this week or possibly this coming weekend hit me up if your going.

 
ill probably be there saturday after noon or so and was planning on hiking tucks sunday but the weather isn't looking great so i might hit up mt snow instead
 
fuck id be so down except spring weekend at uconn starts tomorrow and doesnt end till sunday morning, are you guys gonna go up at all next weekend or next weekend
 
i'm thinking about heading up this sunday if i can get a ride. is the snow holding up well? and what rails did people drag up for this past weekend?
 
will be there this weekend. should be good, plenty of shit to set up i am sure theyre super cool with letting people do their own thing

went today for a few hours and it was super fun.
there is the big urban-style down rail at the top but the lip is super low and no one was hitting it. then there is the mellow dfd, a 25ft(?) down bar thats real fun, a dfd box, the nike 6.0 box and a couple other little rails and jibs.
 
yeah thats where the half pipe is.
i might head over tomorrow, depends on how much homework i have.
its really fun though. we got some footy, so when that gets uploaded ill post it here
 
I think I'm going to head over tomorrow. It was so much fun. We went up every week till the snow melted last year in june
 
how much snow are we lookin at here? im coming home a week from tomorrow and i gotta know if i can shred the funnest place on earth or not
 
as of yesterday there weren't any bear spots in the middle of the pipe, but it was getting a bit thin. it'll still be shredable a week from now

edit was good.. mt snows set up has definitely changed since then but not too drastically, really theres just more stuff and some of its moved around a little bit.
 
i dont no if there will be in the pipe or not but i can 100 percent tell you there will be snow there you can set shit up with u just mite have to do it on inferno but i wouldnt doubt it if there was alot of snow left still in the pipe cus a week from today there was still alot of snow
