Mount Point on ARV 116

I am 178cm tall and bought a pair of 192 JJs mounted for 320bsl and I am mounting them for 310bsl.

Should I mount them -1.5 from center? Mount them -3.5 from center? Center mount them?

I think that if the skis are longer than me then a forward mount will make the ski feel shorter and a backward mount will make them feel even longer. I think that the ski feeling shorter is probably for the better since it is much longer than I am.

They have freestyle mount point at -2,5 i think so that should work. I don't know why you would go forward from that, those are likely mostly used for skiing forwards and not for rails

The skis have been mounted once already at the freestyle mount at 320bsl. Im remounting them for 310bsl.

yo man see if you can try and make your bindings work with the boots before remounting. i have def heard of people making the same mount work for boots that have a bigger dif than that. a 10 bsl difference is pretty doable i think. meaning you likely won’t need a remount

What binding? Check if you can get in w/o remounting and you will effectively move the mount point 5mm forward.

They were mounted for pivots, but they were sold flat. I am mounting pivots on them.

i have mine at -2.5 and wish they were further back. i think the recco line is -5, i would do at least -4

How tall are you and what size do you have? I also have a pair of 185 whitewalkers mounted somewhere around -1.5, -2 and find they feel short.

i have the 191 arv 116, im 6-2, the length is good. mount at -2.5 is just too forward. I could use the 185 as well, 191's are pretty heavy.
