If you are going with friends to mt hood for 10 days and aren't looking to camp maybe you should just reconsider your life all together. You should go to med school and get a good job or something so that you make a lot of money so that you can travel to mt hood and stay indoors and enjoy the magical luxuries of running water and a roof, because a real ski bum doesn't get these things.
Camp at the airstrip, you need a tarp, even though you probably wont get rained on much in june, there is lake trillium to cool off in, a chill spot to skate, and your around everyone else who is there to ski and have fun. The timberline day lodge gives you access to bathrooms and water as well which is nice.
