yeah i can tell lol, the stuff isnt soaked up by the suspension cas its stiffer than that, and your going so fast the suspension doesnt have time to setup for each bump, i mean you can change it for each type of terrain, but then you take a risk if the terrain changes, its best to have a good medium for the type of terrain. and the rocks knock you off ballence, like suspension cant soak up a slanted rock, if you hit it hard enough your wheel is going to move somewhere, and then you might have to dab your foot to regain balance, its stuff like that, that makes people start to realize why its a demanding sport, if you had to lug around a 200 pound machine, thats pulling you everywhere through rocks, around trees, as fast as you can go for 3 hours, you would deff. get what people are saying when they say its not as easy as it seems.
