Most versitile oakley lens

wrong. good luck seeing anything on days with flat light with a lense that dark. HI persimmon is a great all-around lens, but I'd recommend one dark lens for sunny days and one light one for snowy/cloudy days.

People most likely won't agree with me, but..

I've used Hi-Yellows as my go-to lens this last season. They're absolutely amazing for anything that the PNW can throw at you. On bright sunny days they obviously get trumped by other lenses, but for the average cloudy or overcast day I think they do a fantastic job.

Really? Have you ever skied in Alaska? 75% of the days here are flat light. I didn't say it worked best for flat light. But it is the most versitile lens. H.I. Yellow is easily better than grey polorized in flight light.

no, I've never skied in Alaska, but if 75% of the days there are flat light days like you say they are, then wouldn't you want a lens that performs better in flat light, but still can protect you from some sun glare? Because any polarized lens is just straight up bad in low-light situations, especially the the grey polarized lens that you recommend, which has the lowest VLT (visible light transmission) of any lens that oakley makes.

I didn't say grey polarized was my flat light lens. I use h.i. yellow. but it is the best all around lens. it does fine in flat light. thats why i said it is the best VERSITILE lens, not the best flat light lens.

whatever man, I'm not one for fights on the internet over goggle lenses. I would never use gray polarized on a day that was anything short of very bright and sunny, it's just plain dangerous.
