Most Durable Skis

Hey guys, I keep seeing threads about how shitty some skis are. In your opinion, what's the most durable pair of skis?
 
Even though I'm not the biggest fan of how they ski, gotta hand it to on3p. My filthys flew off my rack on the highway, got ran over twice and only got minor scratching, bout to use them today

In my experience Amplid are super fricken durable. But to be honest it seems to me that most skis aren't that bad, people just don't look after them and trash them and then complain that they're not durable at all

Woah, holy hell.... I've never skied ON3P so I gotta give it to K2 in my opinion. They make some bombproof skis.
 
My Armada AR7's have lasted a year and a half surviving constant rail and ice abuse in a snowdome. I've got a pair of fairly new Amplid's and they also seem to be of good durability and quality.

To best honest though I don't really expect a ski to last more than one season if it's skied in the park a lot.
 
Honestly all of my 4frnt skis that I've owned have lasted me way longer than anything else I have owned.. only minor top sheet chipping. I abuse my skis quite a bit also..
 
I've never gotten any edge cracks or problems with jskis or on3p but pretty much every other ski I've owned would get edge cracks

some people are stupid. It's not their fault...

from what ive heard from a thread I made about durability, On3p, Amplid, K2 are the overall most durable.
 
Had a pair of Line Traveling Circus and they lasted me a year, which includes a whole summer of hiiting my summer setup and then the whole winter, and I basically just hit rails. I was really surprised that they lasted me longer than the Recoils I had previously.
 
Ive been riding k2's forever and they just bounce off rocks in the woods without taking damage at all. Also anything built to race tends to be so beefy they never wear out.

Recoils specifically are nuke proof. OP how many times are people gonna tell you to use the searchbar before you actually use it? This thread has been made hundreds of times before

jk on3p sander h skis at my home mt and me and a few others were talking to him he showed us his on3ps that fell off his car and they look fine

K2 makes impressive skis. Salamon makes the least durable in my oppinion even though I enjoy riding on them, pretty stiff construction so they make stomping cliffs a jif, especially in that back seat on the pow days.
 
I'm sure many will disagree with me, but moment skis are indestructible in my experience. My 07 rubys refused to die, so I sold them, and they are still in use. My 2011 night trains are still doing great as well, despite the significant amount of rock damage.

Thought I'd never say it, but the new Salomon NFX's are really durable. Far better than the Suspects. Been riding them all season (50+ days) and the top sheet and edges are still in good condition.
 
In my experience the larger ski manufacturers blow it in the durability department (solly, k2, Rossi, you guys suck) most durable skis I've ridden have come out of the never summer factory (Icelantic, fatypuss, rmu, just to name a few) I've got a pair of the original danollies and aside from the camber flattening out there still holding strong. It seems as though smaller manufacturers put a lot more care into the building of their skis (unless they're outsourcing them to china, ie surface). Whereas the big manufacturers crank out thousands of skis every year and probably don't give a shit if a pair only lasts 6 weeks in the park. Point is, buy from the independent brands making skis for skiers. They ski better, last longer, look cooler, and the money goes to actual skiers, not fat cats in suits who don't give a shit about how long your skis last.
 
with my experience, K2 and Line are the most durable. I was smearing around in the woods at night one time on some masterminds when my right ski just flew off and I skied away. turns out my inside edge of my right ski hit a rock and made my ski release. when I checked out my ski, there was absolutely no damage at all, it was weird af, but im happy with my result.

They are super durable and a great ski. But I destroyed 2 sets of jmos in the same month. Still the best and most durable ski I've ever ridden

Many will disagree with you because moment has a track record for low quality skis
 
Skis will always break that is a given especially if you ride park. So I look more for customer service. If I snap a ski can I go to the dealer and have them give me a new pair and they warrenty mine. To do this your looking at the bigger brands. Small brands for sure will replace stuff but it may mean sending things back an waiting for a replacement. But say I break a salomon, I can take them to a salomon dealer and if they have stock and the agree it's a warrenty the skis may get replaced then and there. So remember all skis will break it how easily you can have them replaced that is worth looking at.
 
Armada and k2 have great durability. I rode my halos 80 plus days mostly in the park and they are still looking great.
 
My on3p's have held up amazing, skiing the east coast iv slammed rocks and to my amazement i havn't gotten any core shots yet.

Overall i love how armada skis they seem to break easier, idk maybe just a bad experience.

Volkl also makes a solid ski.
 
Blizzard skis for sure. I ski Big Sky and Snowbird, two mountains that a really mean to you skis, and the blizzards take a beating

I agree, Armadas are great. I've had my Cantikas for two seasons and they've only got a few chips.
 
Faction should be up there too, mine have been bomber. Armada have also held up well for me and friends in the past.

If you've slowed down you should P-Tex any big gashes in the base if there are any. And go take them to a shop to get a good base grind then wax them.

Base grinds make soooo much difference to speed. My AR7's were getting really slow so I got a base grind and it has made a huge difference, like they're new again.
