Most durable skis

what kind of skis have you had that have given you problems and what were the problems. cause i've had scraths and they've held up better than my buddies with armadas and dynastars and were all hitting the same stuff. so whats happened to your skis?

The most durable ski I ever had was the 99 1080's couldn't do shit to um except they were noodles, my Ar5's have held up really well though the topsheet does chip easier

My '00/'01 Pow Airs were the most durable skis I ever owned. My '03/'04 AR5s ride really well, but of course they have the soft topsheet issue.

 
Dynastar is the worst ski for durability.

The rossignol scratch 04 is pretty solid.

The ultimate durable ski is Fisher skis. It took me 4 years to break them. I abused them soo much. The only thing that broke them was the consmetic that piled off.

peopel should take a step back and look at what the ywere doign with their old skis to make them mroe durable. I could say my old head airs were really durable, I never borke them, but I wasn't doing anything clsoe to what I am doing now.

ive heard that the edges rip out on the armada's and dynastars alot. that true?

my public enemies have a pretty shity topsheet (chips very easily) but they flex really well and have lasted nicely so far.

3 years on my PE's skiing at least once a week and hitting a LOT of rail, and edges are still perfectly intact aside from minor edge cracks and tops sheets are chipped in some places but other than that are perfect.

Salomon 720's, last me a few months while i was skiing lightly and not nearly as hard as i do now.

99 1080s hold up like crazy. edges take a beating and the topsheet is mint almost. ive been riding them for nearly 3 years and doing everything witht hem. got new PEs but i dont really liek them so i havent been usuing them. after 4 days on them the topsheet is chipped to shit. terrible top sheet. i guess thats why they went to ptex

yeah the only thing with armada is the top sheet gets cut or chips easy, but other than that they have been solid.

I have a pair of old madtrix (2001?), they are impossible to break, seriously.

The dynastar twinboards can take a shit kicking and keep on ticking. I beat the shit out of my skis and there still not to bad.

 
01 dynastar conept- parts of edges ripped out

01 elan airtwist - whole edge ripped off

03 mad trix - hold up really good

04 atomic tweak - still pretty

 
Head makes the strongest skis, i slid cement ledges for hours and didnt do any damage to the bases

also there wood core is really strong, but makes for a stiff ski

I have greater respect for my Pistols after this past weekend... skiied on quite a few rocks, and I don't even have anything on the bases that could be deemed a "gouge". If I'd been on Armada, I'd have had at least a few core shots.

look at my friend ski , bought this this years, suposed to be 3years warrenty, tried to warrenty that (pocket-rockect) told it was vandalism. from all the story I heard I think he is the worst rep ever

I know other people who have chopper and stealth .. just did a 270 out and the binding didnt hole that . an other broke the ski in 2piece

i find scratchs are super strong, i havent had a problem with them after my second season.
