Most Bombproof skis?

I don't know what they are, but id be looking at PE's, and 4frnt's, only because ive heard good things about MSP's, but what do other people think? Like topsheet, base, and edges?

I'm also looking for an older ski to bash around, so im interested to hear peoples opinions, especially about the original scrtach and concepts

From what I've seen and heard, the Mad Trix are really bomb-proof. I have never heard of one pair breaking, they're nasty, stiff as hell (if you don't weigh much, don't buy 'em! they'll kill your legs!!)

my brothers mad trix chips of alot on the topsheet. other than that, they seem to be solid skis. i would say scratches are quite durable.

head and atomics are solid, but 4frnts are sick. my stls are amazing. all that jazz you hear about ptex sidewalls- completely true. the topsheets have some minor chipping (still better than most skis) but the sidewalls are MINT! on my TMs, the ABS sidewalls had huge slices taken out the first day. the bases are super deep, and very hard. i took a rock head on, and on anyother ski it would have been core, but not the 4frnts. it took 4 layers of ptex to fill it up, that shows how deep it was. plus, they are light as hell. you can serious just feel the quality ooze out of these skis.

My AR5's are in pretty bad health, the top sheets are fucked, other than that they arent that bad

 
I've got some highliter yellow volkl 218s that are pretty bombproof.

my pe's hold up good.. but dont get rossi/look bindings to them.. they pop of.. my friend has broke 2 pairs allready

 
haha my OLD blue 1260s.

urban, jumps, rails, concrete damage, like 2 cracks in teh edge, no otehr damage. ive slide them so much you can see the teeth of the edge through the base ive worn it down so much

haha, ny old 12s are shot. all the topsheet is delamed underfoot (held in with woodscrews and epoxy) the tip is delamed, theres edge wmissin on both skis, the edges are cracked as fuck, a bunch of coreshots, they are GONE!

PE's have pretty weak topsheets, but thats it.

I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

mad trix...all the other skis mentioned are durable, but the mad trix are actually invincible. in all seriousness, they are the strongest twintip ever made.

mad trix, I havent skied on many other skis other than my trix but these things are so solid, stiff but they still work well in the park, mine have been through hell and they still look damn good!

bahaha, my friend was skiing switch down a blue going to lunch, he caught his edge and snapped BOTH of his skis in half behind the rear binding piece, he didnt hit anything, just caught an edge and tumbled and they snapped like he had dropped 50 feet onto a rail... haha PEs durable... haha thats like saying looks are good bindings...

who cares about topsheet..its gonna come off eventually, my vote goes to PE's theyre chipped a bit but after 2 yrs of riding them im only just now having the edges sharpened

the madtrix are fine...if your a sally go and buy the juvis...they should be light enough.

i went from the 1260's to the madtrix (lightest to the heaviest) and i had no problem and im not a big guy either.

i know the tm's are supposed to have crap edges, and i say supposed because most kids on this site are such sheep that they will go along with what anyone says even if they have no experience or ridden them. but yes, so the edges sucked, by what about the old candides, twinboards?

I rode the candides for a season. I had no problems with them. I have seen some with stress cracks on the topsheet, but that not a big deal. I like my PE's a lot, IMO they are better then Dynastar Candides. Check ebay, they are super cheap.

 
the only problem i've had with me tweaks so far is the topsheet gets scratched pretty easy...and its kind of obvious =/

Dont Get PE i have a pair and the the top sheet is SO chipped and the base has so many gashes, they are very good, but not too durable, but ive got the old pe so the newest one might be better i dont know

the scott shcmit (sp) edition?^ the chronics are bombproof, but the cap isnt all that thick, so mine have a few cuts that show the core. a little epoxy, and they are fine

Yeah the K2 topsheets suck but you can fix it easy...

1) Take a file and file the edges of the topsheet at a 45* angle.

2) Take some nail hardener and apply on all the edges that you just filed.

3) Take a blow dryer and dry the hardener.

It actually works really well, try it.

2 companies PRIOR and IGNEOUS are totally bomb proof just ask anybody and they will tell you totally custom skis for and consumer.

ive got scratches now, sidewalls are a little chipped, but not bad for going through half of last season
