More JibLife hype (The game might be done)

I might be wrong, my facebook wasn't showing their previous posts so I didn't see that for 5 dollars you can play a part of the campaign soon.

No the game isnt done, that site i believe is for them to gain money from people interested in helping them out... like a donation or investment site

The site should be up and running soon. The site works as a spot where you can donate $5 and get the current version of the game, focused on the urban aspect. It is a PLAYABLE game and is dope in my opinion. You can also donate more than $5, because it all goes towards making the game better and more advanced, and you receive certain swag packs in the game or even jiblife ish like hats, yowies, beanies, t's depending on how much you donate. its win win. You get to play the game and you also help the cause.

hey guys. i just got an email from this african prince. he wants to send me money. i promise to give half of it to jiblife so it gets done.

I wouldn't trust JibLife with my money as far as I can throw them.

I imagine if you donate, you'll get an email saying 'the DL link will be ready in a few days...', then more days and more days until you finally lose interest, and you can kiss your cash goodbye. It has such a poor reputation i would never trust them.

Also, in any normal business, if you want funding for a project, you take out a loan, or raise stock capital, or find an investor. You don't ask a bunch of kids for $5 each. There are a lot of things about JibLife that smack of untrustworthiness, and a generally bad attitude to business.

Have you ever heard of kickstarter.com? Do you realize how many professionals fund their products and movies through that site?

Uuuuh, if this whole Kickstarter thing with Double Fine wouldn't have blown up during the past month, I doubt Jib Life would have done this. Of course, if they had plans of this before hand, by all means, give us a show and tell, no biggie.

But you see, it happened just now, under the whole "industry-changing" event. Like I said in the other thread, I don't care if it becomes the best snowsports game ever made, but the way they've handled this project over the years is pathetic.

Always bet on Jibb.

We waited 10 years for a fucking skiing game, we can be patient not to spend 5 bucks to play a part of the game that you'll anyway play at it's official release. Unless you really want to helpout which really generous I think!

But wait... can you see it... in the distance... ah, the light is blinding my eyes... I... I see... so many SKIING GAMES!

At least Gnarshmallow, Jibberish, FreakOut, SSX On Tour, DNA Spin, Stoked... all of which have either studio backing or have been created by one person or a small team for free for us skiers to indulge upon. In all these years, plus some other small games which names I can't remember, but had freeskiing aspects. Many for free and without any hype bullshit.

We did in fact have the plans before that project was posted, and I am not sure if you know who Tim Schafer is, but if he posted anywhere people would give him their money... He is a gaming god, and the fact he is getting back to the roots of adventure gaming, hands down one of the more bad ass things to happen in the industry in a while...

We are using kickstarter because it will give YOU all a chance to get something unique and kick ass out of the game that won't ever be provided again at the same time support a project that you have wanted to see happen for how long now?

You can keep the hate train going, or you can get on board with what we are doing. It won't affect what we are doing either way.

For those who are supporting us, and who have been, you all rock. Keep it up and we CANNOT wait till the project gets approved so you can see all the awesome stuff we have done for YOU.

Of course, as I practically learned all my English skills via MI, DOTT and Full Throttle.

It's great that you are doing what you can do finally push this thing out, but your plan has been flawed from the start, no matter what the final project comes out like and this KickStarter thing is just another post along the Green Mile when it comes to trust.

Get it done, rake in the cash, make an even better game with an honest schedule and less hype in the future, and you know, people might take you more seriously.

And you fight like a cow.

lol...I saw the video associated with the Kickstarter campaign. You'd be surprised how much money they've already raised and who those sponsors are.

Jib-Life has already gone the normal business route. Pre-releasing a game in this manner is pretty normal.

way to announce an upcoming announcement about a kick starter announcement. -The problem with JibLife, empty "announcements".

I don't even understand why people are arguing about a game that is not playable yet. Just like diablo III.439491.jpeg

Just thinking about her on skis.

ThankYou

it is playable. it is sick and the kickstarter thing about to happen is seriously 5$ that everyone should throw down. it is really so much fun.

I've heard of it. But years after the project was originally conceived, it shouldn't need a trickle of grassroots funding anymore. In terms of security and stability, Kickstarter nowhere near compares to traditional methods of business financing. It just shows how poor the business model is.

And I'd still want to see the deal when the Kickstrater proposition was made... just because of Double Fine's heroic fund raising measure happened to collide so softly with Jib-Life's soonish KS revelation.

hopefully these dudes can get something together, a project like this is a huge undertaking. in the meantime, lets go skiing.

Jiblife has disappointed me so many times in the past that I cannot seriously give my trust to them.

Please jiblife just do one fucking thing on time or one promise that you make and maybe just maybe I will have a bit of respect for you as a company.

Exactly and all the people giving them their "support" fuck that they just havent been around long enough to realize how much of a joke Jib life has been in the past.

90 already, but i have a question. It says this project will only be funded if they have $30,000 in a month. If they dont, does everyone lose their money?
