So after i put up that video there was a bunch of intrest for some of the stuff i made. So i added a bunch of it to my store on my website. Here is the breakdown with some more pics and info about them
Dolly built out of aluminum to keep it nice and light. Colapses down nice and small and assembles easily.
You have the option of buying the PVC track you would save allot of money just getting at a local hardware store so you dont need to pay for shipping.

The Cable Cam is also built of aluminum to keep it nice and light. Its powered by gravity and comes with a bait cast fishing reel which controls the speed and the return. It does not come with cable or a winch.

The 12' Jib Is also built out of aluminum comes with the tripod and everything you need except the counterweights. The ones i will be building on here will collapse in the center to make it easier to move around.

Be careful selling those cable cam rigs. There is a reason there arent more of those out there for sale, they are a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm not trying to throw you off or anything, but I have one that I made too and I know the kind of tension that gets put on the cable, even with a light camera, when strung across long distances. That cable snaps and hits someone then it could be bad, not to mention having the rig fall out of the sky an hit someone could honestly kill someone. And it could come back on you for selling a dangerous product.
Just something to keep in mind.
But very nice looking stuff!

eeek, I saw the price on the 12' boom.

What tripod is it mounted on? Are the boom arms powdercoated or painted?

I am only selling the Sled for the cable cam. As for the Boom I have yet to sell one and if you are intrested in one contact me i have some new ideas and designs and prices in mind. There will be an option to powder-coat everything. The issue with the Jib being powder-coated is that it will need to be able to be broken down into 4 foot sections to fit into the oven.

im bumping this thread. i was searchbarrin and i came across this and boy, that dolly is really steady, compact and portable. i really support you trying to sell the stuff and all but its out of my budget. im just going to say that i am jacking your idea and i will attempt to make one like that. also quick question about the cablecam. im new to cable cams. but how do you make it stop?

ahhhh. nice. thats what i was thinking. do you just use regular fishing line? like lets say a 20lb test?

All that stuff's looking good. Def some creative engineering right there. Is any of that stuff heavy? I mean it looks like carrying it up the hill may cause trouble.

We use 80 LB test strongest stuff i could find at gander mountian. Its not heavy its all built out of aluminum. The only thing thats heavy is the counterweights for the Jib. The dolly can fit on a good pack and the cable cam is a small cable and a aluminum box.

word yea ive got like 100lb at my house.is it possible id be able to get the dimensions to the dolly. i could just eye it but that would help.

aight. sounds good. yea i was gonna measure anyways i just want to have something to compare to. thanks
