More Fox News Fun

Carl Cameron, the chief political correspondent for Fox News, posted a story on foxnews.com that included several bogus quotes from Mr. Kerry, supposedly assessing his performance in the debate.

'Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!'

'Women should like me! I do manicures,'

It also had Kerry contrasting himself with President Bush:

'I'm metrosexual - he's a cowboy.'

Before the debate, several Fox News commentators remarked on the air about how Mr. Kerry had reportedly gotten a manicure that day.

Mr. Cameron has apparently been reprimanded over the incident, some network spokesman was quoted saying 'This was a stupid mistake and a lapse in judgment, and Carl regrets it,' no one elaborated on whether action had been taken against others at Fox News who reviewed the article before it was posted.

Cameron didn't want to comment but he is back out reporting from the campaign trail.

qualities solidity well finished after sale services (if broken, ..). so what do you think? out of one fact: armadas black and PINK is ugly and faggy!

looks like it was satire to me, at least fox doesnt have employees on the dmc payroll, like cnn.

but the debate is pointless. all media is bias they are not there to inform you only to push a product be skeptical of all news groups.

yea its not that big in my opinion i dont think he effected n e Kerry voters

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

^I hope not; Kerry voters should, by that very definition, have SOME measure of good judgment.

^haha yea i guess(still just a matter of opinion, but in any event i see the point of what you are saying its just not that big of a deal. If Kerry got a manicutre or what not and the correspondant is for Bush i think its funny that he joked about it. We all know that Fox is REAL DEMOCRATIC so its shocking that they would bad talk KErry.

But honestly on a lighter note it is kind of funny that he went out and got his nails done for a devate. CMON we can all have a laugh at that now!

At least they didn't use FABRICATED DOCUMENTS to make him look bad, like some news organizations.

Well, slander and knocking someone for being a girly-man are two different things...

'...Smoking's bad, smoking killed my dad. Yeah, he was driving down the highway one day and as he was lighting his cigarette, it blew out the window. So he jumps out the door to save it, and ran himself over. Uh, you mind if I smoke?' -Olie Ollaussen, Ski Bum extraordinaire

^Actually, they're not. However, slander and libel are two different things. That's really the only material difference here.

Maybe, we should tak about the scale on which Memogate was on rather than tak about the technicalities. CBS stood by their report for several days, as if it was the truth, before saying there might be some untruth to their sources. I took over a week for them to apologize, and not only that but the Kerr campaign had knowledge of this report and it's sources before it was aired. A rep from CBS called Joe Lockhart, gave him the scoop on it. What does that make you think of that reports purpose... That's right, it was strictly aired to sway voters to Kerry's side. It's funny ow fast that disappeared from the spotlight. But this 'incident' was apologized for imediatley, we don't know the conditions of how this report was posted, nor do we know the outcome of the responsible parties' punishments... It's funny how bent people can get over reporting, well, more or less reporters joking about someones cosmetic practices, while you're all open for comment when false reports com across about GW... Now don't go calling me a Bush supporter though, I don' think I've ever explained my stance... I hate both of them equally, I think if either one of them wins we're equally screwed for the next at least 4 years, sorry to say, but I'm abstaining this year.

'MEMOGATE?' the CBS thing has a NAME now? And the White House has hired a FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL to investigate it? Who's investigating all the lies told about Kerry? Why doesn't that scandal have a name? I guess 'swiftboatgate' just doesn't make good copy.

I think it's a scandal that 'memogate' is being treated as a scandal. OOH! 'SCANDALGATE!' I get to use that one, it's mine!

Fox is owned by republicans, like TED turner, what did you expect, fair coverage?

===========================

why would i bother doing a misty 9? id much rather sit here at home, get my dick sucked by your fat ass bitch of a mom, smoke some pot and eat tons of food-- Lateralis

jsut be like 'what officer, i needed a rail so i can nail my girl-- D-loc

Maybe I missed something, but were you inferring that Ted Turner was a republican? That's a little off.

Anyways, Fox News is much more conservative than any other news station. This is true. I'll give you that...and hell, you could bash it and critique it all day long saying how slanted and biased it is. But the fact remains; Fox news has had more viewers than any other new station (some instances persea the debate for example, having more viewers than all the other news stations combined). Why is this?

Could it be that people are tired of hearing constant negative whining and opinions instead of news?

To have this majority of viewers means that it must be pulling in a number of democratic viewers also. I'm sure they realize Fox news' obvious bias and leanings, but I they'll take that over whining by CNN.

The numbers don't lie.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

^^ wow. ted turner owns cnn cheif. and is one of the largest contributers to the DNC. why does no one care that two cnn employees are hired kerry advisors, and yet continue to report for cnn?

probably because republicans dont worry about half of the worthless things liberals complain about

^Yeah, like they wouldn't bitch about something so trivial as some unidentified piece of paper Kerry may have pulled out of his jacket during a debate... Republicans are totally above that petty shit.

Anyways, I believe the CBS thing is actually referred to as 'Rathergate'. 'Memogate' centered around a certain justice dept. memo that everyone seems to have forgotten about, because people apparently have short attention spans with regard to anything relatively complicated, regardless of its relative importance. Sad, really.
