More Computer Trouble

The internet in my room is not working. I click the big "e" and it takes me to newschoolers for a split second, just long enough to process the picture and then closes on its own. MSN still works and all that jazz. I think it might be a virus, but maybe one of you could help me becasue Im not much of a computer genious.

yea, but it has always been on and never has this happened.

I can see the login screen for around a second and then WHAMO, nothing.

try getting firefox at mozilla.org

well ns is my homepage, so i have no idea. whenever the internet comes up it shuts down after a second. i try to activate the screen by typing in the login space but it doesnt work.

Yeah, just install Firefox and get Spybot to clean your registry.

no get opera. i had firefox, it was all i ever used and was great, and then is crashed and completely stopped working. opera for sure

i was thinking that too but it he said that the internet in his room wasnt working or something so im guessing that he's just using like his mom's computer or something.

^yea, im on my downstairs computer, and i cant install firefox becasue i cant keep my internet open.

Burn a disk with the installer on it.

Or try this: I'm assuming you have XP? Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and on the left choose Add/Remove Windows Components then uncheck Internet Explorer, Click next, then Restart the computer, pop in the XP CD if you have it then follow the steps again and then check Internet Explorer, click next and if it asks you to restart, then restart. It should work. I have internet explorer anyway so if I were you I'd download firefox. Its the only way to go.

sounnds like a virus or spyware. run virus scan, run some spyware remover, and install firefox and never use IE ever again

Opera is so fucking sketchy. I've never heard of Firefox screwing anything up, but I've heard a lot about how Opera causes kernel failures and weird shit like that.
