Ok, this could just be me but do people really think Montecs (esp with the massive fromt pocets) are good jackets? They feel like the upcoming “hype” clothing of skiing and I can’t say I’m a fan
 
idk about their jackets, they seem a bit over the top desing wise. montec pants however, are really fucking good, even with the big ass logos.
 
I know not everyone may agree with me here, but I kinda think the Montec stuff looks sick. Sorta reminds me of the dumont matching fits. Personally I feel like if you're gonna go full Montec u should wear it in the BC. idk y but it kinda just gives that vibe more than a park rat vibe. For park rat style i def prefer to sag everything and go XXXXXL.
 
i feel that 100%, i just hope they dont take over the scene with the younger generation because i see the same style jacket from them everywhere

I have the doom jacket and I love it. Prices aren’t bad on their stuff for what you get and the pockets don’t bother me but I don’t really use them either.
 
Their pants have FAKE back pockets. Just pocket flaps to make it look like there are pockets there, but there aren't.

Montec is an instagram company with no soul or roots in our sport. Catch me supporting the Saga's, Trew's, Armada's in the world before I pump money in lame ass Montec who have good instagram ads and price points to get all the ski bots to buy it. Fuck Montec - In my opinion (respectfully)

But the only people I see wearing Montec on my hill is hypebeast Asian dudes.
 
Montec and DOPE outerwear are one in the same. They are fucking huge here in Finland. They were becoming popular in Aus when in was there. I can’t speak for USA because I haven’t been there in almost 2 years but it looks like they are spreading fast.

Im not a fan. I actually liked DOPE/Montec anoraks at first (being an American and not having experience with them).

I’ve got a typhoon jacket shell from them that I’m a fan of. Simple, easy to take off, and looks good imo.

they just spend a lot on marketing which is fine. I’ll wear it on non snow days but in heavier stuff I’ll go to a fly low harshell
 
I think that people buy Montec jacket because they can put stuff in the big pocket, like an extra layer if it gets too hot/cold, but I think that you could leave those in your car because I think the montec jackets look a little goofy

I'd like to go on the record as being very anti-Montec now. After seeing the scumbaggery of the literally hundreds of montec wearing posers at Sunday River today I do not want to be associated with them in any way.
 
I completely agree. The only people I see repping it are people who are degenerate IG addicts lol.

I work at a mtn and almost everyone that comes in to rent skis wearing Montec doesn’t have a clue
 
I got a pair of bibs last season and they are holding up pretty well. Best fitting bibs or pants I have ever had.

Hate all you want. I just wish they were shells.

i genuinely wouldnt hate if they werent so hyped by shit skiers and aggressive instagram marketing... someone up there also brought up their roots... theyre non existent... hence why i love my saga bibs
 
Agreed. Also, their structure seems to almost be one big multi-level-marketing platform with the athletes/ambassadors having their own web stores. Think I saw somewhere too about needing to sell a certain amount in your web store too

Montec is just hype beast shut for skiing. The only people who wear it are people who care more about taking insta pics than actually skiing.
 
I'm a little split on them. Some of their styles are way to Euro-loud for me, but others look decent. I'm sure the quality isn't amazing, but by all accounts I've heard/read it's much better than it should be for an opening price point brand.

It's a double-edged sword when your stuff is that inexpensive, though. It's much easier to grab a quick foothold in the market when your average piece only costs ~$200, but you run the risk of a lot of Jerries and gapers ending up in your stuff.

This is only their first or second real season in the US market, so I'll be curious to see where they go.
 
I only got one because I needed a cheap soft shell. They look fine and work good for the price.

Anorak style jackets shouldn’t be a thing, I won’t buy from them until they make a “real jacket” however their snow pants are SUPA HEAT

They aren’t that bad tbh. I heard about them from my gf but I like their shell jacket. It’s simple, and keeps me dry. Sure their marketing is wack but everyone has to start somewhere

Oh fr that’s nice tho. Im a fan of sagas stuff too but didn’t know. I saw one of there 3L jacket for 130 in my thrift store and pissed I never grabbed it

I don't believe their pants would fit me cuz I don't have chicken legs. They're super flashy and probably perform well but I've only seen jerries or rich kids with these

Yeah, anytime I see Montec at my local it’s being worn by fucking losers who use the lips of features in the park as jumps.

its 100% legit, youre just paying for shit quality and no insulation (especially in the coats). plus, no roots in skiing community means no support of 100% ski brands not just instagram trends

Idk about the rest but insulated jackets are trash except for a few days a year. My insulated jacket is nicer than all my others and I’ve used it twice this season and was too hot with just a base layer under for one of those days
 
They are decent for the price. Most days I’ll rock fly low but when I just want a soft shell it works good for me

Got a homie rocking simple Montec pants with a small logo on the side. Definitely not a poser by any means, throwing triple swaps and k-feds on big rails. I will never rock their brand whatsoever, but if you’re going for something that doesn’t have a crazy design like their dumb jackets, then I’m cool with it. The only reason I say this is because the 20k/20k is a good price for what it is.
