Mont Tremblant

So I'm posting here because of the traffic this regional forum gets and I know there will be someone with good input.

So here's my question; it's kind of a noob question.

I've never skied anything bigger than holiday valley and I'm heading to mont tremblant in a few weeks. My question is how well my skis will be at tremblant. I'll be taking my line traveling circus 171s centre mounted.

Is this fine on real mountain skiing?

Will it make it less enjoyable?

Thanks in advance for good advice

Doesn't matter it's just a lot longer holiday valley if anything, your ski's will do you just fine. Check out The Edge when you go, lots of tree skiing. Grab a park pass too and check out the South Side park off of the flying mile chair it's really well built and has some good stuff in it. I may be around the same time as you, Tremblant is my home mountain, but I live in Guelph.

Right now the LINE TC's are not tuned; I'll need them re-waxed for the conditions/temp when I'll be there; I'm torn if I should get them sharpened as the underfoot is dull as "F"

your thoughts being familiar with Tremblant?

wat?

park skis are shit out of the park, anywhere.

they wont be more shittier at tremblant then they would be at holiday valley.

there are lots of places to rent, and if you dont plan on being a park rat for the week i would highly recommend considering something thats not a noodle and detuned to f.

Hmm, I suppose I'll rent as the Line TC's are decent enough for the times I go to Blue Mountain or Holiday Valley but considering I'm going to one of the best or better places on the East Coast I should get the most out of skiing when I'm there.

I'll take your advice on renting

inb4 OP rents 190cm+, 130mm+ waisted, rockered, complete reverse cambered chargers for "real mountain skiing" @ tremblant.

yes, rent, but something modest, you dont need waterskis.

I'm not a fucking moron, just never had the chance to ski a real mountain. I'm planning on renting X-Wings or something suited better for groomers

Just ski your Lines, trust me it doesn't matter. It will be not much different than Ellicottville, just colder and a lot longer. Edge has nice trees, Soleil has great groomers and some trees, the north side is cold and busy, and the south has the two parks...

these?

do ittttt

Wow a lot of dickish attitude here on NS

I miss quoted the ski model; wow big deal! you got the idea that i'm not going to rock Hellbents or some huge waisted pow skis.

To correct myself i'll look at renting the Salomon 24hrs Max or 24X-Kart Max. The BBR's would be fun but they look like waterskis

Guys you need to stop being so critical to your fellow local skier; it's all good being a dick or messing around in NSG but come on; it's regionals

I grew up in Ottawa and skied Tremblant a bunch. It's not a crazy mountain or anything, it's just a bit higher and usually icy and cold. Bring your park skis for park laps, but rent if you're thinking you'll be skiing regular runs all day. I bring my Rossi Exp 88s and my park skis when I go. Have fun, hopefully the weather holds up for you

Ended up using my traveling circus skis but got a full tune before going. Wow tremblant was great! Long runs and decent snow. Glad I went but skiing in Ontario will be hard
