Money spent each season

I've spent around $7k for the upcoming season. 5 new sled, 300 sled upgrades, 800pass, 600skis, 300 misc.

Without sled stuff I think 1.5k is normal for pass + gear

Holy shit

i usually spend about 1 pair skis + bindings (700), pass (600), travel (500), lodging ( 700), day tickets ( 300), misc equipment (300) = $3100

Usually a pair of skis (600€) and the pass (430€) are the main expenses. If I break other shit like boots and buy clothes, it can add up to 500€ more. 1000-2000€ is a good range.

Not too much. Have gotten some deals on equipment the last few years snd a few things for free. Work at ski areas so pass is there.

Mostly just food and beer. Luckily Crystal hooks it up with cheap beers still. They were 4, went up to 5 but thats still a hell of a deal on a mtn these days.

Skiing is fucking expensive otherwise. If i didnt work in the industry Idk if I'd be able to afford it. Depending on where I lived. The old school small mtn vibe is going away. Even in the northeast. It's still way more affordable but not the way it was.

I get that it's a business and if you don't make money you close, but places seem more greedy in general these days. Props to all the mtns still giving deals, even a discount day or night ticket occasionally or some learn to ski programs for the local schools.

If it weren't for local programs, discount tickets etc, I'm not sure I ever would have started skiing.

If your local is for the people, support the fuck out of them.

I don't live anywhere near snow, so i have to rent out a place for the season, so that's £1000-2000 gone already, plus a pass which is about £500-800 depending on where I go, plus food and other shit when I'm there. Probably somewhere around £3000 every season, not including any new gear I might buy. Basically it's all the money I save up from working during the summer.

Skiing is getting so hard to afford myself, I don’t know what I’d do if I had to pay for any vale owned mountain passes, thank fuck some of the east coast mountains are staying locally owned

probably about 900 so far on passes and nothing else. it costs me around 200 a month in gas to get up and back plus a hostel if I don't car camp 120 a month. In march I take a whole week and rent a place usually so thats most of it for me. Overall I don't spend more then I have to. Gonna need a new set of skis probably next year and I'd like a tele setup at some point too.

So far i've spent bit less than 500€ for 3 season passes to different hills this year. I don't think i I need much more this year, maybe another 500€ for a trip to up north.

Last year I bought 2 pairs of skis, boots and other stuff so that was heavy +2 000€ year for sure.

Less than 1 000 would be ideal imo but park skis get destroyed and so does other gear so sometimes it gets more expensive.

I got a whole new set up this year - skis(600) boots(650) bindings(270) jacket and pants(600) pass (800) so roughly about 3 grand including some other misc stuff.

So far, I can count $770 I’ve spent. Pass ($520), Goggles ($170), work done on skis that I couldn’t do ($60), another pair of skis ($20). I’ll be getting a helmet too. However, I spent a lot more in last 2 seasons to rebuild quiver, etc.

20 dollar pair of skis? How tf

way cheaper than expected. have not payed for season pass in a while. will not do that this season either because of being park crew.

skis 450$

bindings 150$

new boots 200$?

don't think i need to pay much more.

I used to be this way. I kind of want to get an all black high waterproof shell this year. My current shell clashes with all my pants lol

I have an irrational outerwear addiction. But might carry over last years kit.

Easily over 1k, at least last season, between gear, pass purchases, and travel expenses coaching.

Coaching + traveling was fun but that really put a dent into my wallet (Love you BC but come the fuck on, shits kinda pricey there. Got me with the COVID tourist tax)
