Monana Skiing

Both are fun, but bridger is probably better for the money. More friendly, more laid back. Big sky has a lot of snobby rich people, I got yelled at by one for doing nose presses because he said it put everyone on the mountain in danger.

there are alot of dumb ass posts in this thread so I'm not even going to try and argue. I love bridger but i get my pass to big sky. If you're coming to montana to make a ski trip, I would recommend going to Big Mountain, aka Whitefish Mountain resort. best mountain in the state with the most variety.

Good god. They are all awesome places to ski. They all offer something a little different, and no matter where you go, you'll have a fucking great time. I skied bridger last year, had some amazing days even without a beacon, skiing big sky this year because i'm working there but i'll still try to make a few bridger days as well.

Im all about the powder, i can ski park in colorado, but if im makin the trip out there i want big mountain

Guaranteed that you will get big mountain with either option. Big Sky has a bit more "AK" style skiing if you will. The good shit is above treeline. Big fast lines. Most cliffs up to must be sent with a speed.

Bridger on the other hand is a bit different. The skiing is a bit more techy (per square acre) and there are some playful sick lines to be had.

The major downside is the crowds. If the snow is good, expect 45 minute lift lines.

Big sky blows Bridger out of the water. The only thing Bridger has is the ridge and that is where fools like EJ are saying that if you know where to go you can find good snow thats not tracked out. Thats true, I grew up in Bozeman and Bridger does have some nice pockets. But the tram is a different beast all together. You can do Big C or those schutes on the front and Shedhorn and Dakota always have bomb snow. Shit never gets tracked out there for weeks even on tree runs right off of grooms. Also there are a ton of smoke shacks there literally off every lift, but Bridger has some dope ones as well. Overall you will have fun at Bridger, but go to Big Sky. It has way more terrain, way steeper terrain, less crowded(even during the holidays Bridger lift lines are a longer wait), and just more to do. Moonlight definitely has the best park in MT(not saying much) so if you go to Big Sky you can ski a day at moonlight or get the lone peak pass. Go to Big Sky
