Momentum Lane build

Momentum lane looking prime. Despite strange rumours floating around, there is more than enough snow and we are almost done building our best park yet.

Transfers, hips, extra wide take-offs, a 65 ft send jump, 11 mogul lanes, 2 airbags and a bunch of new jibs. Photos below from yesterday on the glacier. Stoked for summer!

Kind of a shady dick move to post this, wait a little bit before stealing coc kids.

You could also say it's a dick move for Ken to say that there isn't enough snow on the glacier to build a good park when clearly Momentum isn't having that problem at all. Whether or not that's because of being in different locations on the glacier, I don't know. But I'm sure there are a bunch of Momentum campers who were pretty concerned by Ken's statement..

Also it's not stealing if the camp is cancelled for the summer..

Or maybe Momentum is putting this out so Momentum campers don't get nervous or worried about them shutting down as well.

how can you steal from a camp that doesn't exist

and as said above, whats shady is bankrupting your company and blaming it on snow. trail signage was getting buried from all the snow this winter.

Yeah I see that but the whole situation seems a little fishy. Was just a little heated earlier felt douchey to that soon come through and almost make an advertisement out of it. Either way it doesn't effect me that much and I've cooled off now.

How is this a dick move? What happened with COC threw up a lot of questions. In the threads on here people have specifically mentioned momentum as well. Im sure they recieved emails and calls about this.

This absolutely was the right time to post this.

If you're trying to run a summer camp, you want your customers to know that it is still happening and it will be sick. The COC situation put doubt in peoples minds.

This has nothing to do with "stealing campers" and everything to do with making sure people know momentum is still happening and looking good. Rather this than let the rumor mill run for days about the situation.

Nothing fishy on the momentum side. But CoC didn't give anyone the full picture.

yeah the CoC situation is sounding weird as fuck now

it has to do with coc location that lane wasn't holding snow and is on the edge of the glacier.

momentum is just in a better spot for snow .

Question: Is Momentum actually on a glacier? Or is it more just snowpack that stays very late into the season. I ask because of the lift. Is it possible to have lift towers on a glacier? How would you anchor them and how would you account for the constant movement of the glacier? Even a few inches a year would probably be a total pain in the arse.

You can put a t-bars on glaciers (as momentum has) as the supports don't need to be mounted into concrete due to lower forces applied on them. Instead they are simply able to anchor them to the glacier's ice.

I was in the heat of the moment and as I said early I don't agree with my statement now

The showcase t bar is in a very different location now than it was 10 years ago.

Momentum is actually on a glacier

They move the lift towers around when they have to. Not every season but occasionally they do move them I believe

If you look at the kind of lift towers they use you can see that they are made to be adjustable so that they can work no matter where they are placed on the glacier.
