Moment VS. Movement

i dont know if im the first to notice this cause i highly doubt it but these two companies sound and awful lot alike

that extra v and e just snuck in there and it was a new company

i know Movement has been aroung longer but why cant people come up with original names

 
they mean two very different things, just because they are spelled/sound similar really doesn't mean anything in the long run
 
im not saying their products are alike they are just awful close names

im def not hatin on them cause i really like the small industries coming out and makin it big
 
The names Moment and Movement have been around for a while, though most people hadn't heard of Moment till probably last year. They are very different companies with names that look and sound similar but have nothing to do with each other. I could go on for a while as to what all of the differences are and my bias towards one or the other, but I'll just leave it at that.
 
Well, the companies are based in and have their main markets on different continents, so they probably don't care much.
 
exactly. i dont understand what you meant by "why cant people come up with original names" just because you dont like the names doesnt mean they're bad. and like previously stated, they are 2 smaller companies, on 2 different continents. they wouldnt have known the other existed.
 
this is actually how it went down:

the ceo came up with "moment" about 4-5years ago, but you have to realize that he was not aware of newschoolers until very recently(since he lives in reno)

We find it funny that movement has a very similar name to us, but we don't really care, it's not the name that makes you a company, its the skis...and yes...our markets are totally different, so its no big deal to us...we just wanna have fun and make skis, and im sure thats what movement wants to do as well
 
Movement came out 5 years ago also. Regardless, they are both putting out great boards. I haven't tried the Moment skis yet, but the rave is really strong - worth demoing for sure.

I have a set of Movement's already and they're pretty badass.
 
did anyone notice the movement symbol? its the same as armada's except instead of a crooked line sraight line, its too crooked lines..
 
why is everybody dissing on him for posting this....

also i say moment, they are dope and i live in reno.
 
Well movement has a ski called the baggy, and moment has a ski called the reno rocker... movements are ugly, so I moved over to moment and am having the time of my life!
 
Are you on drugs? Movement's symbol is the apple with a swiss cross. Nowhere near the same as Armadas.

Maybe you got confused with Moment's logo?
 
None of the product is even close to being similar Moment is way more progressive towards the park and the backcountry. Also Moment has been around a lot longer than you obviously know.
