Moment Vice vs. ON3P Filthy Rich

Ive been doing a bit a googling and browsing and search barring about those two skis and I was wondering which is better. They are very very similar since they have the camber underfoot, tip and tail rocker, costs $599, etc. So I am wondering which is better wether it be butteriness. pokiness, responsiveness, playfulness, all around skiing, etc.

I ski on Moment Vice, love them to death, good on rails, good on medium size jumps. Fairly stiff ski but you can play on em since they are really rockered after the small camber portion. Super close friend of mine is on Filthy Riches and he loves them but broke them this season. Honestly couldn't tell you how to choose between em other than I love my Moment's. Went from K2s to them this season and instantly noticed an improvement in my skiing. Super light swing weight, hold really well in icy conditions and on the landings of jumps with the camber. Super fun on rails though due to the huge rocker on the tip and tail. I think you would make a good choice either way.

Ive skied the filthies and i love them. they are both very similar so essentially pick which graphic you prefer.

The Filthy Rich is a symmetrical shape so you may want to bear that in mind compared to the 110-83-105 Vice, depends if you like symmetrical tip and tail or not

This also means that the FR will have a slightly lower swing weight to it.

The skis are very similar, personally I found the FR to be a bit more fun and a bit more long lasting, also I'm pretty sure the vice is a bit stiffer than the FR.

Here's another thread on the subject to help you out maybe:

the oldest question in the book. its all about preference. they are both amazing skis so buy which ever graphic is better

Another note to add is that the FRs are a fatter ski than the Vice, so if that makes a difference to you take it into consideration. In the Midwest here a narrower ski means quicker edge transfer, but if you're out west you might prefer a fatter ski.

I ski the FR's and they are the best skis I've been on, their light and pretty soft but their not noodles. The only problem is the topsheet chips really easy. + the also have square tips, which I like.

Moments are horrible durability and on3p is bombproof. Something I haven't seen brought up in this thread but is worth noting

It hasn't been brought up because it is no longer an issue. Moments durability has greatly increased, and they are on par with pretty much all other companies out there. But on3p May edge them out in that catagory

I would disagree, maybe in the past yes. But my Moments have seen quite a bit of abuse and are still just fine. My roommate has had his Moments for 3 years of hard abuse, they are missing about an inch of edge (which broke at the end of this season) but they are still easily skiable after a little repair job.

Literally a moment rep posted today on Instagram about how they still have delam issues

I feel like all ski companies have delam issues though, it all depends on what you put your ski through. As I said my roommate has been on the same Moments for 3 seasons and they still go. One of my buddies has been on On3p FRs for 2 seasons and pulled the whole topsheet off not at the tip or tail but under the bindings, literally ripped the whole thing away from the base of the ski.

For what it is worth, if you are ripping the topsheet off any pair skis under the bindings, it is because the binding holes were not properly sealed and water got in the holes, rotting the core, which has nothing to do with our construction or build quality, but the mount itself.

It also means the rest of the construction (binding mat) is doing its job properly by adding additional screw retention, enough so that the binding won't rip out of the composite layer, just the core, which is turn is enough to pull the composite layer off the core.

Delam issues = layers coming apart with no related impact or water damage. If your core rotted out due to water damage, there is really nothing any ski company can do about that.

Moment skis break very easily, my friend who is on the Moment team has been through 6 pairs of vices this season.
