Moment Skis vs Line

I've been rockin blends this past year and love them, I'm 6'2 mobbin 178's and starting to notice the shortness of the skis is making it hard to not backslap on big shit. I love the blends and the way they feel, but I'm starting to look at other skis and found the moment death wishes. The blunt nose on those sticks looks so clean but I'm wondering if they are too stiff, from what I can see they look pretty beefy. What moments replicate he flex patterns of the blends, I know two skis are never the same but I really dig the moment chassis and it would be cool to get some advice on it before committing 700 + bucks.

I feel like they may be a little stiff when coming off blends. I'd go for a 184cm if you do end up shooting for em. I ride Vices right now but they have a different shape. I'm pretty sure they have similar flex patterns and they are actually sorta play for its rocker. If you are aggressive and dropping some cliffs, slashing around, the death wish could be sick. I like my Vice, going in for another pair for next year

Sweet man, yeah I don't know I might like the stiffness, I'm just afraid they will be a little too stiff to play around and jib with in the park when the snows shit.

While I haven't felt a Blend in a while, I'm fairly confident the Deathwish is going to be slightly stiffer.

The Deathwish is going to do wonders for you in the pow / all mountain / chutes / steeps / cliffs / basically whatever you want. I've ridden them through the park a couple of times, and if you don't spend a ton of time in the park they would be great. Triple Camber lets the ski remain light and playful, but helps stiffen the ski up when you really want to charge / carve.

Most everyone in the shop has Deathwishes as their every day ski, the damn thing does everything amazingly.

Awesome man, thanks for commenting I think you sold me on them, I haven't actually seen to many people even riding moments so I was a little cautious . Blends were kinda harsh in some of the deep just not enough ski i think these will be a dank daily driver.

The pb and j would probably be more similar to the blend then the deathwish would be. I have a pair right now and they are fairly stiff and very stable but can still be playful when you want because of the rocker. I would definitely recommend them. for what it sounds like you ski though the deathwish might end up being better but if you want the ski to feel more like the blend probably get the pb and j. Either way you will probably be happy because moments skis are sick

While you have a good point, it sounds like he spends more time outside the park and in more pow, crud and a little groomers and such. I think the death wish would suit him a little better imo. If he spends like 50/50 park all mountain id go for pb and j but its sounds like 30/70 or so. Either way they are both bomb skis. The pb and j might have the rocker profile he might want though

Yeah I think the deathwish would probably suit him more I just though hew should consider the Pb and J becuase it is pretty similiar to what he wants and also made by moment. I think either of them would work for what he wants. I wouild probably go PB and J if I was on the East Coast Deathwish for the West

Yeah I've checked out the pb and j's before there definitely the closest thing moment offers compared to the blends but I'm wondering if ill regret them seeing as there 101's underfoot and might not be able to float over the deep when the occasion arises. Thanks for your input guys, I think I'll go with the death wishes, that top sheet graphic of dark marble is just too sick.

I have the moment vices right now and they are like a 6 on a flex scale. they are pretty stiff when starting but they break in a bit mine are on their last leg and they are playful, the frankenski is more playful than the vice and it has triple camber. i would go with the vice if your more park orientated or the tahoes for more of an all mountain

Sorry to thread jack but I'm kind of in the same position. I was thinking either Tahoe's or Supernatural 100's. Currently on 184 Bacons, looking for a 179 probably 40% groomer, 60% backcountry/side country.

You could look into the Kartel 106/108. They aren't moment but they float super well, durability is good, and it will be fatter than the 100 waist. Super fun skis
