Moment Reno Rockers? Yes/no

I've been thinking about getting new skis for next year and moment reno rockers have had my eye for awhile.

right now i have 2008 dumonts, but feel like something with more flex would suit me well. There's a guy at my hill with live life 2's and says he loves the rocker. Low swing weight is important and i would like it to be as little or lesser than that of my dumonts.

I'm 6'2" 155lbs

do:

65% rails

15% jumps

15% trees/drops

5% the rest

so basicly i plan on getting these but want to make sure its the right way to go.

instead of wasting a thread, what about me... im 5'10" 16040% rails
40% jumps
10% trees/drops
10% the rest
Yes/no
p.s, i like to butter

im 5'10 140ish and i demoed the 181 rockers, they are suppppper stiff, like stiffer than my 08 walls. but tehy are super poppy, and i couldnt butter tham, and i can butter my walls.
hope that helps ya decide. i only had 1 run on them because i really didnt like em, couldnt turn, and they were way too stiff for my liking.

They definitely are not stiff skis. I don't know if it's because you only had 1 run on them, but the rocker combined with the fairly soft flex equals a pretty buttery ski. At least that's the impression I get with mine.

i dont know, i tried to butter them and could barely get em to flex. it was realllly cold and icy that day, like 0-5 degrees out. they just wernt really fun skis to me, i think my walls were more playful

you sure you aren't talking about moment reno jibs? they are snappy skis and a bit more difficult to butter.. still not too different from walls..
anyway to the thread creator, they kill it everywhere, are a medium-soft ski.. not EP pro soft but like fairly soft flex.. the only issue you may have is if you backseat on drops landing regular then they might wash out.. other than that all good..

they might be, are those rockered? i know the ones i demoed were rockedred moments. canat remember the exact name but tehy were park skis.

Not hating on you but in another thread here on gear talk. Someone wanted to know about which ski to get and everyone said Anthem would be great, you trashed the Anthem and said it sucked and Walls were the best choice. You then scared the thread creator and he kept freaking out because he thought he made a mistake by buying the Anthems. Luckily someone convinced him he made the correct choice and he stopped worrying. If you only rode the ski once, was that really a fair test? No.

On another note. These skis are great for what you want. They will butter extremely nice, and they should be fine everywhere. I would imagine them being stronger in pow because of the rocker too.

if i recall correctly, the dude was a big guy like 220 or something, and he had a few skis and narrowed it don to 185 walls and 178 anthems? i think he was pretty tall too. and they would have clearly been the choice....
and i wouldnt have said anthems sucked cause they dont. they probs just sucked for him.and please find said thread for me so i can see it.

i also gave my account of when i rode them, im entitled to my opinon, and imo they were stiff, you might think they are soft, but i might also think youre a fatass.
see where im going?

sort of see where you're coming from, you are entitled to your opinion. But the stiffness of a ski isn't really an opinion, more of a fact with a limited degree of interpretation. Reno Rockers are not a stiff ski. That isn't an opinion, its a fact. And no I'm not a "fatass" I weight 140 pounds.

im 140 as well, and i would consider them a stiff ski, might have been partly becasue tehy were too long for me, the 181 was hard to butter and not very fun. it also might have been partly due to how cold out it was. but when i was on my walls they were better for me fun wise.

all that atters is that theyre a bit more flexible than the 08 dumonts (176)

also, would the armada alpha one's be better?

ok whatever. I need a ski that is good for what i specified in the OP, is more flexible than 08 dumonts, and preferible is rockered. If that ski is the reno rocker then so be it, if not, than fine, as long as i end up with a ski that meets my needs.
