Moment Meridian Skins

I just bought a pair of Moment Meridians and am planning on touring with them. Is there a good way to attach a pair of skins to the weird tips/tails?

Got two options that I recommend to people.

Option 1: Outfit the tail end of your skins with splitboard attachments to hold onto the ski both at the very end, as well as the side. I have not personally tried this, but have heard good results from other customers.

Option 2: Carefully DIY a notch into the tail to create a flat spot for a traditional ski skin tail clip to sit on by cutting out the red section shown below. This method would take a little extra effort, but if I ever choose to tour on my stock Meridians I will be going this route. There is no wood near the red section so you shouldn't worry about waterlogging the core by cutting out this section.

Aren't Meridians super heavy? I might be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

Looking at approximately 2000 grams / ski in the 181 length, certainly not "tour specific ski" light but by no means super heavy.

Skins with attachments like the big sky mountain products or the old bca skins that basically just have metal loops that are held on by folding the skin over onto itself work pretty well. it takes some funky cutting but you can get the loops angled in a way they hold on pretty well.

also 2000 grams isn’t crazy light, but its on the lighter side for an inbounds ski. Definitely not out of the question to tour on something that weight, especially with the duke pt/shift/cast style bindings.

mine are at the shop being mounted -3.5 with black pivots ready for this season, if it happens. Really hope to finally ride this ski and see how it compares to my PBJ and DW.
