Moment Deathwish vs Meridian 107

It's time to replace my Moment PB&J's and I'm looking at something a little wider. I feel like the Deathwish is an easy choice, but the Meridian 107 also looks/sounds so fun . Has anybody ridden both? Why would someone dd the Meridian over the Deathwish or vice versa?

Or wait till Moment makes a non Tour Wildcat 108 that’s slightly heavier than the regular Wildcat to help it in crud etc. Lots of people asking about this and was talk of a buy group for them. Moment talked about making prototypes to add weight without changing the Wildcat feel but haven’t heard anything lately.

Where do you ski and what type of skiing do you typically like to do there? Trees, chutes, speeds, groomers, etc..

Mammoth is my home mountain and I mostly ski the top (G2, 23, 22, 3, 5, 9). Chutes, cliffs, and natural features are my favorite. I'm always searching for side hits and I mostly just do straight airs. I also really like to open things up when I get some space and make big and fast turns down chair 23 or some nice flat groomers. Park occasionally, but no rails... I like having nice edges.

I'd go for the Meridian 107.

I voted before seeing you were only doing straight airs and no rails ever. I put DW but I agree with HP about going with the Meridian. I know you'll be happy with both though.

They just announced it. Now I'm really torn between the new Wildcat 108 and Meridian 107

The new Wildcat 108 would be the most similar to your old PB&J but with the proposed weight being closer to the old Bibby on them, they will RIP! Should absolutely crush crud but still have a similar playful charger feel to the PB&J just on much higher level. Similar turning (22m vs 21m on the PB&J) radius too.

Never been on the Meridian but assume they wouldn’t have the edgehold on firmer groomers like the moustache rocker skis from them do but should be more surfy feeling in softer snow with the full rocker.

get the wildcat 108 non tour setup. It kills in the park and has amazing float. Also, it can rail any shit snow you throw at it while the meridian doesn't do so well in that category. Also, the deathwish won't do you any justice in the park

have had both - Deathwish if it's your only ski - meridian if it's mostly for less than 6"

deathwish is more stable across a variety of conditions, but 112mm is a lot - come park season. the meridian is really, really fun tho - I've compared it to a more jibby/playful Gotama. It's full rocker - if you have to ski ice regularly, dont do it
