I am 5,8 175 lbs and I ski a lot of of piste and freeride in the cascades. I am looking to buy a new pair of skis and I have narrowed it down to the to skis. On paper they are very similar and I just want to know if there's any difference worth noting or if I should decide based on aesthetics.

You would’ve the moments that triple camber I’ve heard is nuts. You lookin at the dw 104 or the og? Either one is a absolute beast of a ski.

Deathwish because 179cm blems are right there for $600?

oh damn I didnt see that that could be a game changer tysm

Have both.

Devs (2020 version in 194cm, 111mm underfoot): heavier, damper, and charge harder by far. More recent version less so. Maybe floats better than DW.

Deathwish is retarded in how versatile it is, extremely nimble and slashable on a dime, lighter. Even really good in bumps. Everyone raves about triple camber yada yada, but the Devs carve better by quite a bit. DW are a great one-ski quiv.

I think the Deathwish is my favorite all time ski so take it with a grain of salt.

My personal setup, love them. And I think you mean -3 from center because-3 from mount would suck

Correct, I went 4.5 back and a little more forward would be amazing

I'm currently debating between the devs and the on3p Jeffrey 110s as a soft snow ski. so far the devs look really good in general and the jeffs look more hard-charging and poppy

The devs are a ski that seems to have a 50-50 split. Half of people think they are a decent/good all mountain ski and not much more....and the other half think they are the best ski ever made.

I am in the latter, and I am not sure if I will ride a different all mountain ski ever. And I know a couple of people just like me....but I have never heard of anyone hating devs. Even the worst complaints Ive seen are just "eh they're pretty good."

Which Devastator do you have? The people I know who swear by Dev's are all on the older model that was like 2200g, with the dramatic weight loss 3(?) seasons ago I don't know if they still have the same cult following.

Edit because I forgot to add that I daily the Deathwish and feel the same way, I don't think I'll ever need another all mountain ski. Just need to save up for the Tours and my quiver will be set for years to come.

Very true. I haven't been on the newest ones. I originally had a pair of 2014ish? The gears top sheet. Beefy and probs around 2200. My current pair are the second gen I think. The fist year they cut weight. Definitely lighter, but seem to keep most of their backbone. I can tell a little bit but I don't charge as hard anymore so oh well.
