Moment Armada or Volkl?

Hey, iv been skiing on some armada alpha Ones and I like them alot but I need new park skis and I'm looking for something a little stiffer. I'm thinking about moment Reno jibs armada ar7s and the volkl walls. Any advice would be great thanks

AR7's are so dope but Moment makes some really killer gear and its super long lasting. Can't go wrong with either of those two

Walls will be the stiffest, jibs will be the softest. If you want a stiffer version of the jib, go with the team. Also, both the jib and the wall are fully symmetrical, while the ar7 is not, and might feel a little weird carving if you center mount them. Aside from that, just choose based on your skiing style (more jumps? go with walls. More rails? Go with jibs. Even mix of everything? Get the ar7s, etc.)

Moment actually makes the least durable park skis there are. There is a whole thread about it. I'd go armadas

i would say surface is the worst quality ski out there. Armada for sure. Its not a surprise why they have huge names on their team. There the best ski company out there. I regret getting anything that isn't Armada.

Even though I own a pair of pipe cleaners (got a filthy deal from kenworthy) and have owned a pair of ar6s, I'm not the biggest fan of the way armadas ski. The sidecut is set back a little ways so if they're center mounted (which they were when I bought them), carving feels weird, like the center of the turn is behind your boot. They seem to be pretty durable, although I'm skeptical of the ar50 half sidewall. Also, although they are really light, they felt pretty unstable, even being moderately stiff. It's hard to put into words, but they just felt weird and kinda flimsy. I hope they'll hold up, but when they break I'll definitely be buying something symmetrical, possibly with a bit of rocker, and with a beefier construction. I'm thinking either on3p or icelantic... maybe klint. Basically the name of the game with armada is light but not the most stable.

Alright, thanks to everyone who has helped me decide. I think I'll go with the ar7s but before I buy them I want to make sure of one more thing, I'm not a really good park skier I can throw 1s 3s and slide boxes and basic rails but I really want to get better. Before I buy them I want to make sure they're ok for a beginning park skier?

if you like armadas? why not stick with them.. Get the ar7s... The 2013 graphic is nasty for Armada's 10-year anniversary which is just another bonus.

I'd say depends on your size and age. If your gonna grow a lot next couple of years maybe get something cheaper cause your going to grow out of it.

If you dont think your gonna grow anymore consider a better ski. It will last longer.

If you have a pair of skis that work and are a decent fit, wait till your hill or someone nearby does a demo days. Then test all the skis you want and see what feels best.

No one here knows what feels best for you than you.

Oh a ski for advancing park rider that wants a little stiffer ride. Armada El Rey. Not sure what size to recommend since you didn't give your H and W. A lot like the AR7 but cheaper and full cap. Has full traditonal camber though. This would be a great park ski that can rip everywhere but a tad stiffer than AR7.

171 is 121-85-111 and will ride switch fine.

O2 gearshop still has El reys for $280.00. Thats crazy cheap. Usually $400

Volkls are garbage! Had a pair full on snap after I landed a bit back seat on my first week on them. AR7s are dope can take on anything in the park and are super durable and versatile. Haven't ever skiied on moments but heard nothing but good things. Though Im doubtful that anything can beat the AR7 when it comes to park versatility

any ski will snap if you land far enough backseat!

if it was your first week on them, Volkl would have replaced them no questions asked...

the kink isnt the same sidecut as the wall. the kink is a non symmertric ski. the step and the ledge are both symmetric but are 2 mm thinner and both have rocker. the alley is same as the wall but softer and more of a beginners ski, so if you're going to go volkl and like the wall i would recommend the alley as it is very similar but more forgiving for you learning and progressing. it has reg camber aswell as the wall.source:http://www.voelkl.com/skis/freeski/park-pipe/
