I rode the Team 3L jacket/pant combo all this winter. Final verdict: average. Waterproofing held up well - the DWR wore off a little towards the end of the season and the gear saturated a few times, but never soaked through the membrane apart from once on the seat of the pants. Not sure if that was a membrane or a seam issue. The pant cuffs are a bit meh. The fit of the pants means they're unlikely to drag on the ground anyway, so the black nylon doesn't do much, and doesn't extend high up the leg enough to protect from any edge damage. I tore up the pant legs a little from mute grabs. Having said that, it's the only damage I managed to do to either the pants or jacket. No issues with tree strikes whatsoever.
If you're looking for a lightweight shell with good ventilation, it's not a bad choice, especially as it'll be so cheap now. Massive pit zips, which is nice. I thought the jacket could have used a couple of mesh pockets inside and maybe an external chest pocket - there's only one small internal pocket, about big enough for a phone. I never used the pant pockets as I felt they were very awkwardly placed. The pow skirt on the jacket is a little weird - it's quite loose and didn't seal as tightly as I would have liked to the pants. The connecting loops are also too high on the pants so the button connection doesn't work very well. One more point: the jacket collar is quite low, so it's hard to retreat behind the collar on the chairlift when it's storming.
Reading back through, it sounds like I hated it, but I actually didn't mind it - I just took note of all the niggles as I'm considering a new setup next year and I want to know what to look for. If you can get it cheap then I would say go for it.
