WOWWWIE WOW WOW.

i just got back from the moe. concert at the OPERA HOUSE in toronto tonight.... this was for sure, the closest thing to a religious experience i've ever encountered..... i've bought phish dvd's, and i've listened to countless jam bands, but you truly need to see bands like this live, because they take you for a trip beyond ANYTHING.... i was totally sober through the entire concert, and i felt like, i would do whatever they told me to.... they had full control of the vibe... it was fucking amazing.... MOE. is definatly filling the phish void... stoked

Last time I dealt with the Ministry of the Environment they fined me thousands of dollars for a transport leaking diesel all over the 400 highway.

Naw man. It's perfectly healthy after a long night of drinking diesel fuel. Your body needs to get rid of that stuff or you may spontaneously combust.

moe. is not going to fill the phish void, no way, I saw them last week and they were good, but not that good, I think String Cheese will step up to the plate and take the Phish spot, but not moe.

I find moe. too electric and random. The jams have a tendency to just be an on/off switch for random ass shit, kind of like the dead but not that good and more electric. They have some good key songs, but nothing that will get me excited when I read a set list.

They also draw in a different kind of crowd then phish draws in, fewer hippies and older guys and more kids fucked up on molly and passing out like immature dumbasses. It was just lacking that good vibe that you will get at a Cheese or Phish show, but at least it wasn't the drunken Panic crowd.

As for the filling in for Phish, my buddy seems to think that Yonder will step up, but I don't think they will get big enough just with bluegrass, I love it to death though. String Cheese just seems like it has a really good crowd and it is music that anyone can enjoy.

On another note, I saw Phix, a Phish cover band last night. Granted its not Phish, but it was good to here some key songs again and a good time was had by all.
