Modify my liner

Yo! For the last few years my ski boots are killing me and basically ruin the day because my feet get squeezed from the outside - in. Basically they are too tight. I'm wondering if anyone has made their liners thinner somehow to alleviate this pain? I'm not keen to buy another pair of touring boots :(

Cheers!

Order of operations with your boot-fitter:

1. Get a supportive footbed. Without one your foot will move & make contact with the plastic shell. Do not do step 2 without doing step 1 first.

2. Once you have a supportive footbed, modify the shape of the plastic. This is most likely what is too tight. Have your boot-fitter reshape the plastic to match the shape of your foot. If you don't do step 1 first, your foot will simply move into the modified area and you'll still be in pain.

3. Mold the liner to the new shell shape. If the shell is the wrong shape, trying to thin out your liner won't be successful.

Totally unrelated but one day I put my liners in my boots backwards because I was in a hurry and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I kept adjusting my socks and stuff on the hill. It was pretty funny when I got home and took them out to dry again.

Thanks man. I actually have a custom footbed and had my boot fitted in Revelstoke.. Still having problems though. Anyone in Oslo know a good boot fitter? Probably going to need to get the shell moulded. I dunno :D but god it sucks!

Regardless of what boot you have, call up the Atomic APC in/near Oslo. They have some of the best boot-fitters around.
