MLB is getting revamped!

wow this is huge. seems all pretty good, too, and hopefully will stabilize the mlb and not put them in the position that the NBA is in, or the NFL was in.

The nba and nhl will prolly follow suite in the proceeding years. seems like this is a well thought out plan and a needed change. MLB learned from their past lockouts and are smart now. NBA and NFl will be soon too.

this IS huge. more playoff baseball, another spot for teams to fight for (which is great because usually 3 of the 4 spots are a lock well before the end of the season and its like 5 teams fighting for the wild card), and the fact that there was one division in the AL with 4 teams and another in the NL with 6 was just retarded.

awesome stuff. p.s, go jays and go phillies. i'm going to cheer for halladay until he wins a championship. nobody deserves it more.

World Series this year was hands down the most entertaining sporting event in years.

Im not even a baseball fan.

Ehh I beg to differ.

I don't have a problem with baseball, I actually think it's a lot of fun to play. I just think that the tempo is wayyyyyyy to slow for it to be entertaining to watch, kinda like golf.

But I guess that's just my opinion.

yeah but isn't that the beauty of watching baseball? you dont have to be glued to your seat with your eyes locked on the field. you know when to watch - bases loaded, situations like that - and you can just kick back and chat with your friends and chill throughout. hit the stadium, grab a flat beer and a cold hot dog and enjoy the atmosphere.

This sounds sick! Can't wait to see how this all plays out next season. Hopefully the Twins will have a better year now that Terry Ryan is back in the GM position.

No what they mean is that there are 16 teams in the NL and 14 in the AL, so they are going to move the Astros to the AL west. To have two even leagues of 15.

I like it. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is nonstop interleague play. Half the fun of interleague play is that the teams rarely go against each other.

...plus that would mean cubs and phillies fans would come to Fenway far more often, and while that would lead to interesting nights for me...they are both by far the worst sets of fans that I have ever encountered.

glad to see ONE professional sports league can make decisions half quickly.interesting to see how this will play out... i mean interleague every day? idk bout this.

also the playoffs are already a pretty ordeal... even for a 'purist' like myslef (been playing since i was 5).

well see how everything works though, i think it could be fun

Not really into baseball too much anymore, but orioles will always be the team I root for.

This is such a good and fair move. It evens out the leagues so that one will never have an advantage over another. I think the extra wild card team they are going to add will be great for baseball too because its like a mini game 7 at the beginning of the playoffs. Plus if no one already said this, the guy who bought the Astros got 70 million dollars off the asking price just to switch leagues. Sweet Deal.
