I was going to make a thread but since this is already here i figured ill bump it.

Boston's batting order is absolutely scary. Excited to see where our offense takes us this year.

Well the season is underway, hoping to get some chatter on this thread now.

I'm a Boston fan and it kills me to see A-Rod climbing the HR ladder. He is a piece of shit person and I would take a crowbar to his knees if I could. I wanna know what the rest of NS thinks of this? His climb to the top? I am not hating him solely cuz he's a yankee, but mostly cuz of his cheater antics *cough* 2004 ALCS Game 6 bottom of the 8th *cough* ya if you don't remember that, go check it out. A-Roid is a shmoe and I hate the fact that he is back in the league.

Who the hell thought the Astros would be leading the AL west? Ya not me. My money is still on oakland for sure, that rag tag team of misfits can get shit done and with style.

Thoughts on the new rules regarding time? Shortening the game, can't let people step out of the box? I think its bullshit, these guys are pro athletes and are putting on a show, let them step out and point to center field with the bat, that shit gets me psyched. Everyone has their at bat routine, take that away and some people can't hit for shit.
 
I'd say just about everyone agrees with you on the a-rod thing. I mean even the yankees are not going to pay him the bonus he was entitled for reaching that many homes runs.

I'm predicting that there will be a decrease in offence across the league again this year which could be connected to the rule changes they have made. Will shaving a few minutes off the game while decreasing offence attract more viewers? Im not convinced.

Yeah I think that shortening the games is bull, baseball games have always been long and I am perfectly ok with that.
 
I'm jumping hardcore on the LA Dodgers bandwagon... Might even buy a jersey while im' down here in SoCal just to wear around my friends and make them smolder with anger at me.
 
Not a lot of talk on here this year. As a lifelong Jays fan (I remember watching them win in 92/93. Joe Carter was my childhood hero), I'm stoked to see them in the post season. I'm definitely paying more attention to what's going on in game 5 against the Rangers this afternoon than actually working.

World Series predictions?

At the beginning of post season I thought that whoever came out on top of Cubs/Cards would be able to win it all, but the Cards basically got steamrolled and didn't really give the Cubs a huge run for their money. this DeGrom Greinke matchup will be insane tonight. The NL is basically a tossup for me right now. So many good teams
