Mistys

So i've read Turpins excellent thread on mistys warm ups using a bed and it helped a bunch. I jsut have a few more questions so hopefully i nail it first hit.

1. I have a jump in my front yard that i'm really comfortable doing backflips off of, however i ave to spin them fast because its a small jump. i have very little hang time in my rotation. do you think this jump will be big enough?

2. Should i try a front flip first to warm up into a misty?

and 3. if you stick a safety or mute grab into this trick will u spin faster? I have seperated my right shoulder twice and i don't want to land on it again.

Thanks for the help and making a dope thread

if theres a landing around 30 feet and its some what steep then you should be fine. but if the jump is to small your just hucking not jumping so your not getting a good feel for the trick. think about safety first.and CCCR
and ya front flip for warm up is not a bad idea. being that it is part of the trick.dont forget to do some 5s as well. let me know if you get it

oh ya the safety grab will make you spin faster because your in a smaller position. but if the jump is small watch out for the mute some times your skis dont come un crossed

Thanks for your help. Im really happy i asked, cuz this should make things easier and safer. and ya i'll let you know with pics if i stomp it. thanks again

I found the courage to try one yesterday thanks to the bed trick and getting really comfortable with 5s and knowing how to do fronts. It was a really fun try but I almost landed and broke my binding. I think my bindings were too close together for my foot and thats why it happened.
