i was thinking of trying misty fives this year i have them down on tramp any tips on bringing them to snow. and how big of a jump do i need?

You don't really need that big of a jump. I personally dislike misties, but my friend has a really weird fetish for them and does them off of everything. If you are comfortable with fronties, you could probably huck a misty off of a 15ft jump.

First time i tried this, i thought too much about the sideways flip part of it, didnt go too well..

Try popping off the front of your skis, like on a frontflip. Rotate your shoulder, and flip around.
 
i've only tried one misty before off like a 25 foot jump, and i landed it. to me it was exactly like it is on tramp
