Misty 3

half of the people on this site tell me it is a real thing and the other half tells me it isn't. does a misty 3 exist? i am able to do a front flip with a three that is more off axis than a straight up and down flip is that considered a misty 3 or 7.

Your poll is broken. Also, they do exist. Just not common at all and look kind of weird.

just fixed that. haha yeah i just felt like taking this huge argument that started on my thread for what i should do for a first flip somewhere else.

youre asking two different questions

is the trick you described a misty 7 or misty 3? MISTY 7, no ifs ands or buts about it-- anyone who says otherwise has no clue what theyre talking about and doesnt understand the naming convention at all

does a misty 3 exist? that's up for debate. it'd be a funky off axis front flip kind of thing...no spin beyond the flip

This is the only answer

misty 3's do exist considering rodeo 3's exist. They are just a really peculiar trick that people do on occasion.

As far as I'm concerned I did a misty 3 last year.

It's also on slapp under skian

At this point i'm not even sure if I understand what a misty is. For the longest time I thought of them as a sort-of-off-axis foward rotation, but one time this summer some people were telling me its just a front flip with a spin, like completely inverted

I think a misty is to a front flip what a rodeo is to a backflip. An over flip is similar to a front flip 180, but it's a quarter rotation sideways lincoln to switch. Then a misty is an off axis front flip type thing that brings you to switch. I think that video I posted is basically a forward flat 3, which I guess doesn't have a name yet. I call it a crooked flip (cause it's the opposite of flat)

Where there's a will, there's a way.

It is kinda hard to explain, it is a sorta like a frontflip and a sideflip (lincoln) with a rotation added in. I just throw my shoulder over my head down towards my opposite knee and thats what i learned a misty is.

Yeah I can do them it's just the concept of what they "technically are" if that makes sense
