MISSING BIKE UVM CAMPUS

ok, well I'm missing my mountain bike. It is a 2006 Kona Dawg Deluxe, had Fox flat pedals on it, the tires were real worn down and it had 2 Kingdom Trails passes on the back of the seat last time I had it, and the third chain ring is a guard. Last time I saw it was when I locked it outside of Patterson on Thursday. This shit is real important to me, like probably in my top 3 prized possessions. If anybody sees it or anything like it around, please let me know. I don't know how to embed pictures but this is the link of the model:

In the mean time, I'm bugging out hard and checking any website I can online for it.

is it blue like the pic? I'll keep an eye out. Last year my friend hank had his lock cut and the bike was found on campus later by UVM police. Go to them and tell them about this.

go to them right away. also maybe give ski rack a call and tell them about it too incase someone comes in trying to sell it

exact same color as the pic, thanks. and yeah i'm calling up burlington police now, I'll go down to Ski Rack tomorrow to talk to them too. If anybody sees this please let me know, huge amounts of money and time has gone into this bike, and I really don't have anywhere near enough money to replace it.

Do you have the serial number? Someone jacked my bike on the 4th of July and I went everywhere in Burlington telling them to watch out for it but I did not have the serial number at the time (it was written down on the receipt back at my house in CT) and they can't do anything about it unless you have the serial number, which sucks becasue it is so easy to tell by small things. Make a claim with your (parents) home owners insurance. I got $500 for mine, and I paid $650 for it. The bike new would have been $1200 but I got a different bike that was less expensive. They give you basically what you paid for it but take some away for yearly degradation. I will be sure to watch out for it. Sucks to have your bike stolen. Definitely go to the police though. And tell all the shops anyway. Ski Rack, Northstar (the lady in there was a bitch to me), Apline House, Earl's, Old Spokes Home.

Old Spokes Home is at 322 North Winooski right next to that shitty looking transmission place and the Salvation Army. They buy and sell used bikes so they pick up alot of stolen bikes. when I went in there they had a whole entire notebook with about the first 5 pages front and back of information from people with stolen/ lost bikes. They are really nice guys and will help you out. all the bike shops will tell you to check there too.

thanks a lot for the info man, I'm gonna head down there tomorrow and talk to them. I'm getting the serial number faxed to my parent's house so I can grab that, and hopefully this will turn up. This fucking sucks. If anybody sees this around, please let me know.

Yeah dude... someone cut the chain off my kona a couple years ago in burlington.... bike thieves are relentless and terrible

yea this is truth.

I work at skirack and we, like all the other shops, have a "hot list" which has stolen bikes on it.

You can get your serial number form the shop you bought it from.

Fuck bike thieves, I came home to find my lock almost completely cut through except for one strand of metal, i must have showed up just in time.
