Mismount Question

I took my new Donner Parties to my local shop to get them mounted, and we had a long discussion about where to mount them. I told the owner, "I have asked Moment what the center line represents, but they have been pretty vague about it, so mount them at -3cm, wherever that may be, but you can use the line as a sort of guide." He said that would be fine and asked for Moment's number so he could call them and figure it out.I pick them up and I was in a rush and didn't notice anything at first. The guy who mounted them said he did not call Moment. I measured everything out today and they actually mounted at -6cm.
What should I do? I could get them remounted for free most likely, but there goes all resale value.

I would go in there and calmy tell them they were going to give me a free pair of skis, then see what they offer you. I bet if you do that you are more likely to get some swag or something with your free remount. Or if they are super legit maybe it'll work. I don't know, I would bitch, and I would get something out of it.

ya you know they mount the skis with the center of the boot not the bindings right? not meaning to sound like a smartass some people dont know that. but if you know that already id say what nowhereman said. say they are gonna give you free skis and maybe sound a little angry and they should do it for free. my shops soo legit they did that for me one time they even gave me free green wax.

3cm
Boot sole to tip=99 cmBoot sole to tail= 93 cm(-6 cm)
Line to tip=96 cmLine to tail= 90 cm(-3 cm, what I wanted.)

yeah he mounted you -3 from midsole, not from center, you might get a free mount but thats about it it sounds like it was explained pretty vauge.

They said they would buy me a new pair of skis after they call Moment and confirm that the line on the ski does represent -3 cm. They measured cord length, and Moment measured the Donner Party in material length, and they need confirmation of that.
It was last year's ski though, so I don't know what they're going to do. Hopefully a brand new pair of 09/10 Donners.
